AKG K44 Hedphones (Review)

Hey buddy, thanks for the review. If you were to get either these AKG K44 or Senheisser HD201, which one would you get??? My criteria are A) sound quality (ability to head EXACTLY what is being recorder and not a "beautified" version of it), and B) Perfect Sound Isolation. Thanks for the advice.

What about the comfort on k44? How long you can use them without hurting your ears? Thanks!

Hey I'm sorry if you have already answered this but I was wondering if it was soundproof at all and if it ever slides off of your head?

I just ordered these on the MF "stupid deal of the day" (yesterday) for $20. At that price I really figured it was low risk, but you said you use them for mixing? Are they really good enough to mix without monitors? I occasionally use headphones for a first-draft, but I wanted louder headphones (louder than my sony mdr nc-6), and better isolation for recording guitars and being able to hear what the mics are hearing (NOT what the amp sounds like in the room). How are they for isolation?

Consider the Audio Technica ATH-M50's They are the best on the market for sound quality and are very comfy!

if the wires not replaceable for oe headphones they suck. the wires always go bad . thats why i like bose oe1 and ae2

I went to Guitar Center to get a pair, but as soon as I got there they said some guy bought all of them that were in stock. Luckily they were nice enough to order some for me for $20 lol

The expensive AKG models are teh ones to have!  Beats, come on...if you think those are high end quality, how can I take your word for anything on these cheap AKGS?

Hi, I'm a music producer and I just want to tell you that it was a mistake saying anything about Beats having quality, because they don't, Beats headphones exaggerate the lower end and have terrible quality and mix in the high end. If you're saying they aren't as good as Beats, then you are saying they are worse than anything, basically. Guys, click to a different, more serious review for these headphones, this guy doesn't know anything about sound quality. And PS, it made me cringe to see you stretch out the headphones the way you did. Lol.

Akg has been making some of the best detailed and natural sounding headphones for many years and it mostly depends on what type of music and sound you are use to hearing. The AKG k44 headphones are not a flimsy cheap plastic they actually have a metal wire inside the plastic.
