ОтветитьIt’s in here
ОтветитьArguably my favorite Smith's song, just genius!
ОтветитьAs a teenager growing up in the 80s this song spoke to me like no other.....I love the Smiths and this my favorite song.
ОтветитьA song that tear your SOUL ...❤
ОтветитьOne of the greatest ballads EVER! PERIOD😎
Ответить"but that joke isnt funny anymore, its too close to home-" is one of the most realest things ever said
ОтветитьThis song reminds me of someone that I care for dearly that has been bullied relentlessly online and is now in a treatment center for a personal problem exacerbated by the bullying. I feel so bad for her, but I know she has the strength to move forward and will. Remember folks, humans need to be loved just like everybody else does. ❤️
ОтветитьI'm sad :(
ОтветитьWhatever happened to phranc? The jewish lesbian folksinger that "opened" for the smiths in 1986? Frank? The roadies sure liked her and her minimal demands on them.
ОтветитьI loved them in the '80s, but now, at 58, I fully, totally, deeply get the meaning. Sigh
ОтветитьI’m dancing with my cat to this song..
Very therapeutic…
Johnny Marr wrote this song as a Waltz. Listen closely to the music and you will hear this. Quite sophisticated for a pop song at the time. Really brilliant.
ОтветитьPerfect depiction of grief. The intense drums, the desperate lyrics, the wailing guitar… I’ve felt it before..
ОтветитьThere s no other band like this. The BEST melancholicb band Ever and t'he BEST pop band
ОтветитьAn outro so fucking good it just had to come back.
ОтветитьThe sound this song has is so uncredible and touhing
ОтветитьThat Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore (Lyrics).
Park the car at the side of the road
You should know
Time's tide will smother you
And I will too
When you laugh about people who feel so
Very lonely
Their only desire is to die
Well, I'm afraid
It doesn't make me smile
I wish I could laugh
But that joke isn't funny anymore
It's too close to home
And it's too near the bone
It's too close to home
And it's too near the bone
More than you'll ever know ...
Kick them when they fall down
Kick them when they fall down
You kick them when they fall down
Kick them when they fall down
You kick them when they fall down
Kick them when they fall down
You kick them when they fall down
Kick them when they fall down
It was dark as I drove the point home
And on cold leather seats
Well, it suddenly struck me
I just might die with a smile on my
Face after all
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
And now it's happening in mine
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
And now it's happening in mine
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
And now it's happening in mine
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
And now it's happening in mine
Oh ...
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
Oh ...
And now it's happening in mine
Happening in mine
Happening in mine
Happening in mine
Happening in mine
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
Oh...
And now, now, now it's happening in mine
(I've seen this happen)
Happening in mine
Oh...now, now
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
Oh...
And now it's happening in mine
(Happen)
Happening in mine
Oh...
Happening in mine
Happening in mine
Happening in mine
I've seen this happen in other people's
Lives
Oh...
And now, now, now it's happening in mine
Happening in mine
Mine, mine
Happening in mine
Difficult to pick to pick but it's definitely one of their handful of best songs. Maybe theirs or anyone's.
ОтветитьHumanity is gift. Humanity is tough. Humanity is this elf that makes me stuff. It's always been a worthless lie. Humanity, humanity. Just go die. Humanity pays me to be a friend. Humanity pays me to save their head. Always hide its better things. They're made of gold, steel, paper, and spiritual things. So pick the locks and let me through. We'll dangle mirrors and dark woodcuts jokes, too.
