Your videos are amazing. I knew, the first time I saw you. I just graduated from school. Getting started soon
ОтветитьThanks! I am a rookie, with a mill in transit to me.
ОтветитьRun of the mill lololololol yesssss
Ответитьa video on adjusting the gibs in the table would be very handy, i just bought my first mill second hand but came with a brand new table. its very tight and hard to turn and i haven't had much luck playing with the gibs
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHi Quinn, thank you very much for the excellent work. I love watching your videos. I have a question regarding the lubrication of the gearbox. I purchased a CX-600 (new) many years ago but never had a chance to install it until now (just retired). This unit seems to be a look alike of your model but in a slightly smaller format. The gearbox is currently empty and has a small amount of grease in it, not enough to do any good. I looked in many places to find how to load it with the proper lubricant but could not find anything. So I decided to take a chance by adding transmission oil through the transparent viewport on the side face near the H/L selector. I could not find any other place where to fill it from and I could not find any drain plug either. As soon as I started adding some oil, it leaked from many places on the bottom of the box, including from a hole where cables run from the power control to the motor and RPM pick-up. That is strange, as if this gearbox was not meant to be filled with a lubricant. That is hard to understand and why would there be a viewport for the oil level if it is not meant to be filled? Can you please help me with this. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьThis is internet gold, right here. Extremely informative and delivered in easy to understand language (and some cheeky humour). Thank you for posting this stuff!
ОтветитьWow. What a great teacher.
ОтветитьIm an English teacher and my students are trainers for apprentices. I needed videos in good to listen to English to teach them (and me) the right words to use. These videos are awesome!
ОтветитьSo happy you have a mill basics series! I took machine shop in college but that was a million years ago. I just rebuilt a little rong fu rf-30 and this is so helpful. Thank you!!
ОтветитьNot only are you very knowledgeable but funny also. Laughed out loud when you tossed that draw bar wrench on the floor. Good stuff.
ОтветитьJust got here entertaining huh
ОтветитьJust starting to get into machining. I found you tutorial very helpful. Looking forward to viewing the rest of the mill series.
ОтветитьWhat did you think about lathe mill combo machine?
Ответитьthanks so much!
ОтветитьTapers will come out with any kind of side load. While that is true, the more you are TRYING to get it out the more they hold like as if they were welded if you are trying to take it out and can't push it from behind.
ОтветитьExcellent Info, Easy understand, simple to listen to.
ОтветитьJust starting out with a mill and this video explained many items that I had questions about. Thanks!
ОтветитьFantastic content! I’m exploring the idea of getting into machining as a hobby and this is exactly what I needed. Thanks.
ОтветитьIm pretty new to machining. Do you have recommendations for a new mill for hobbyists? Mostly plan to do aluminum but steel would be nice once in awhile.
Ответить"Cats and dogs living together." Nice Ghostbusters throwback.
ОтветитьHi Quinn! Great videos! Do you have an index to your videos…kinda hard to dig through to find all the vids on a particular topic, such as Vertical Mills? Thank you, John
ОтветитьLove this... There is none of that secrecy nonsense with this chick... She wants to help people, she has a passion to help and that is special.
ОтветитьQuinn, have you ever though about building a nice miniature xyz table out of brass? Even if you don't take requests, I hope you're not offended by them :)
ОтветитьHi Quil.
I have a little delamere with my Superkart steering collet that requires a set of 22mm OD bearings to be inserted in.
I reemed it out 20th over size 22mm+20th & now there is to much slack in the tolerance allowing the steering to flap about.
So I need to shrink the ID collet size back down to 22mm ID.
Is there a method of doing this?
Kind Regards Bernard. 🇦🇺
Excellent tutorials
ОтветитьAbsolutely outstanding video. Very well done. Informative, well planned, easy to understand and extremely helpful. I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel. Keep up the great work
ОтветитьNeed a cigarette after that "special effect"
ОтветитьJust a thought -- always check for debris in the spindle. Use bare finger. Especially with collets.
Hobby quality spindles are quite soft and easily damaged.😎👍
As a maybe future hobbyist machinist your videos are very good!!! Thanks for making them.
ОтветитьHow did you get an un broken tool box with your mill, That,s just not heard of.
ОтветитьI so love your tutorials. Thanks so much for sharing your expertise.
ОтветитьThank you, I have zero milling experience and found your channel, thank god! I appreciate your organized presentation method and making it layman friendly.
ОтветитьWhat’s the name on your mill machine
ОтветитьPainter's tape and cutter had me rolling 😂😂😂
ОтветитьOh my good lord, this video was such a Godsend. I was having issues changing my chuck and realised it was because the chuck was still wedged and as I had removed the drawbar there wasn't anything causing the counter force needed to push out the old chuck.
Absolute legend.
Thank you for the video Blondehack, I just went and purchased a power feed for my newly acquired mill/drill. Next to order a 3 axis DRO.
ОтветитьI've been machining for 26 years and love your videos. I appreciate your humor as well
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI've had my mill for over a year, and I legitimately had no idea how to pop the jacobs chuck out, so i've been using that to hold everything. I've gotten away with that. But I appreciate these videos immensely.
Ответитьwhere u learn ur stuff?
Ответитьso i had to go watch some slow mo end milling...breaking taps...end mill chatter
said his end mill would move .020
Awesome video! I am shopping equipment and learning at the same time to upgrade my gun business. What model is this? I cannot afford anything crazy to start with needing both a lathe and this. What lathe would you recommend to start in the “16-20” range?
ОтветитьCool, thanks for the guide
Ответитьsuperbe video
