What did you think about the ending of No Country For Old Men?
ОтветитьWe need a part two
ОтветитьGood actors in a bad movie. I get it. I understand the unsaid messages but it was still a stupid movie.
ОтветитьI had a different understanding of the sherif's dream. He says his father died an young man and that in his dream, his father was still an young man. Also in his dream he says his father was preparing to make fire to face the situation. I felt that this could be taken in two ways. One...... his father was always older than him(in his childhood) and hence is ready to face the cold and dark situation. two is "his father is young" which reflects the kinda theme of the film that he's old and incapable of handing the situation in real life and starts looking out for his father who once in his prime could handle the situation.
I'm not sure if it makes sense.....but this is what I understood from the ending
Who got the money
ОтветитьThis explained precisely nothing, but it was an awesome movie none the less.
ОтветитьThis is bullshit
ОтветитьGreat, great movie. But the one thing I got from this movie, above all else is, if you find a satchel of money, look for a tracer and get rid of it. The end.
ОтветитьThe Mexicans got the money at the hotel in the afternoon.
ОтветитьAwesome movie
ОтветитьErmmmm so what happend to aton???? Need a sequeal
ОтветитьMoss’s death made no sense to me. Got so invested in his character and then just dead. Like what?
ОтветитьShe died, he checked his shoes for her blood because he shot her and she lay on the floor near him bleeding out. Anton lived by strict rules and she and her husband broke the rules and had to be eliminated even though he did give her a 50 percent chance of survival beforehand.
ОтветитьOne of the things that makes this movie so difficult to understand, is that the story was altered due to the accidental casting of Josh Brolin. The story called for two old men who had served in combat in Vietnam. James Brolin (Josh's father) was supposed to be cast as the other "Old Man" as the Yang to Tommy Lee Jone's Yin. In the original story, the two men shared similar life experiences but followed different paths and ended up crossing paths again as old men. Unfortunately, Josh was too young to play Bell's counterpart.
Because they accidentally cast and contracted the younger Brolin, they decided to white-wash the error by re-writing the timeline of the story and having it take place 25 years earlier, in the 1980's. This change also made it so Bell was too old to have been a Vietnam vet, or to have any shared life experiences with Moss.
Without the dynamics of two equally old men awakening to the reality that they have become living anachronisms in an ever changing, violent world; a major element of the story is lost completely.
His father would be waiting for him no matter what. Perhaps the ending is trying to say that no matter the evil that’s in the world, there are always good people out there who will help to fight it.
ОтветитьLife goes on for both the good and the evil. Eventually, we all grow old, weaken and die.
ОтветитьWell that cleared it right up
ОтветитьIts like there has to be explaining
ОтветитьLiterally didn't explain the ending.
Ответитьthis was an good movie ,, now me he would never caught me. do wanna know why all that $$$$ this fools riding around town, with an tracker nah not me i would had open that money found the tracker ,, END OF MOVIE THE END.
ОтветитьJohn Wick vs Anton Chigurgh. who wins?
ОтветитьGod what a dog shit ending. The main character, Llewelyn Moss, literally dies off screen, Anton Chigurh walks off into obscurity, and Ed Tom Bell tries to cope with his morality... Like how fuckin shit of a writer do you need to be to end a film like that? I would have had a better time never having saw the movie, then to have seen it once.
ОтветитьDid Anton kill Llewelyn Moss or was he killed in some random shoot out?
ОтветитьImagine this is in john wick universes
ОтветитьThis movie is pointless.
ОтветитьCan someone explain what did Chigurh have to do with anything with the drug deal/money?
ОтветитьA couple minutes in, it's clear you are way off base about this film. Clue, everyone who suddenly quits a job and retires, gets a stab at owning the money. Bell was working for the murdered banker and when he died, Bell having figured out the money was in a different heat duct, hids the money at the crippled deputy's ranch. The 1909 story the old deputy told will become clear in the sequel where Bell goes after the money a second time.
ОтветитьWow, this video went way out of its way to not explain the ending of the movie at all. I heard this was a great movie and until the end it was, but I don't get the ending. In fact, this movie appears to have no ending, it just ends. It left me pissed off because the main character was killed off screen and the villain had nothing to do with it. What was the point of telling this story? Fuck!!!
ОтветитьNot getting religious but many fail to know this; The Coen Brothers are believers and use to teach the bible. Even the main theme of O Brother Where Art Thou was all about Salvation.
ОтветитьActually you failed to explain anything whatsoever
ОтветитьI don`t understand what needs to be "finally explained" about the ending.
ОтветитьSo did anton kill moss wife or not
ОтветитьOne of the most well-directed and provocative scenarios people can find themselves in and do to me is one of the best films ever ever made
ОтветитьMaybe cuz I read the book first, but I didn’t think the ending was confusing at all. It was kinda perfect given the story.
ОтветитьIn the book Bell is much more frequently used than in the film. He is really the lead character not Brolin. One of the problems with the film is just how incompetent Bell is, he cannot protect anyone or find the killer. I disagree that there is a lot to think about at the end. And the book explains what happened to the money.
ОтветитьYou didn't explain....anything. Do you even know what "explain" means?
ОтветитьKelly MacDonald was so miscast in this movie!
ОтветитьThis doesn’t explain the ending at all. Don’t waste your time watching it 🤦♂️
ОтветитьThe film was good until they killed off Moss and violated the most basic rules of story telling. If you want to make a point about reality the way they do film a documentary. It's just plain bad story telling to have no conclusion and no connection between the characters.
ОтветитьExplained everything but the ending
ОтветитьThat didn’t explain anything
ОтветитьSounds like a movie I'll never watch, what a pack of crap 😂😂
ОтветитьYou missed the explanation part.
ОтветитьNo Country For Old Men is the Dark Souls of movies
ОтветитьIs the money not found or did the Mexicans get it from the motel?
ОтветитьChigurh didn't get the money. The Mexican cartel did. Chigurh failed at getting the money but upheld is promise to kill the wife due to his self-enforced principals. I think the car accident was some kind of poetic justice, as the wife didn't play into his game of chance by choosing heads or tails. I think this is correct but I have literally just finished watching the film for the first time.
ОтветитьYou missed explaining the scene where TLJ returns to crime scene at hotel. That’s the most confusing scene that WE ALL want to know.
ОтветитьLlewellyn's random death and everything random happening after that took the movie down from 10/10 to 4/10 for me.
ОтветитьAs much as i want to theorize that bell found the money and hence we see all the crockeries , but the final accident scene shows us that anton is running away and is paranoid just like moss was and hence he has the money now .
