Hashirama stood for idealism. Noble, but not realistic. Madara was all about fanaticism, cruel and essenatialy never able to achieve its goals. Tobirama was pragmatic. He had right ideals at heart, but he never was under any illusion that you can put those ideals in practice just buy spreading love all around. He built the institutions which, by involving all Konoha's clans would bring people together and cement the cooperation. Real world history proves that this approach works. Imagine Senju and Uchiha being like France and Germany. Only the insitutions of EU (and it's predecessors) brought them really together and made them stop fighting each other. So Tobirama was actually the best thing that could have happened to Konoha. Without him, the village would have crumbled down very quickly.

I have difficulties getting into my head the idea that kagya/hagaromo is the source of chakra coz there is naturechakra and the divine tree absorbing it. Humans as animals should also have naturechakra at least a bit, why would the divine tree otherwise suck them dry..? Hagaromo imho only taught how to utilize it through ninshu

Regarding the last part, if I remember correctly, Tobirama means the space between (2 gates ) or something like that. It literally indicates he's the middle ground of Hashirama and Madara.

I wish Itama got to grow up a bit since he was the only character with black n white hair. What i cant wrap my head around is how tf could the Senju compete with the Uchiha. They have no definitive kkg. Sure they had "the body of the sage" because they are descendants of Asura and thus have higher than usual Chakra pool and regeneration so enabling them to master a lot of jutsus. That's also why they were also known as a clan of a thousand skills and a thousand hands because they supposedly mastered all types of jutsu. However, the Uchihas Sharingan can do all of this but better. I won't even start with the passive benefits of a base Sharingan alone. It felt like Hashirama was carrying the clan. Their latest confirmed descendants (except the Uzumaki) are Tsunade and Nawaki. Ok sure Tsunade became a Sannin but we know how she is leagues below Hashirama and this was bluntly stated by Madara. Nawaki didn't even reach puberty. How they managed to compete with the Uchiha before Hashirama was born was beyond me.

If Indra was so adamant about not needing anyone, how does he even have any descendants? I'm not an expert in biology but I'm pretty sure that in order to have descendants you need someone of opposite gender to produce offsprings, and Indra was never confirmed to have any.

It is possible that his mother or one of his grandparents can be a Senju
Both Kakashi and his father were very skilled
Kakashi especially has mastered pretty much all releases, can peform a wide variety of jutsu, skilled in kenjutsu, can open atleast one out of Eight Gates, has wielded the Executioner's blade, can perform a sealing jutsu to seal a curse mark (His fanwiki page says he can even use Flying Raijin though I don't remember where he used it.)

can we all just agree that whilst hashirama was the better ninja, tobirama was the better hokage. like it seriously amazes me how much undeserved hate he gets and how many people put him at the top of their worst hokage list. like people always criticize him for things other characters do with his jutsu and systems but never give him credit when they use his jutsu or systems for good. like they say he sucks because he invented edo tensai and orochimaru and kabuto used that for evil whilst ignoring how he also created flying rajin and shadow clones which were used by two heroes in the story, or you hear about how he created the leaf police force and that contributed to the uchiha staging a rebellion and their subsequent annihilations whilst ignoring how he also created the ninja academy which saved countless generations from war and led to some of the best ninja in the leafs history. not to mention tobirama himself never used edo tensai for evil and it was danzo who moved the uchiha to the outskirts of the village that really caused the uchiha to consider rebellion rather than tobiramas creation of the police force.

like at the end of the day hashirama may have come up with the idea for the hidden leaf but it was tobirama who turned it into an actual functioning village and without his influence its unlikely the hidden village system would have ever succeeded and that would have meant the warring states period would have come back and likely expanded into the time period of the anime which would not have been a good thing for naruto who was super weak at the start. if you can say one thing that tobirama was truly the worst at it was being a teacher since all his students + danzo ended up almost destroying the leaf village. but as far as hokages go id say he ranks second under naruto himself and the only reason he ranks under naruto is because naruto oversaw the greatest leap in technology in the leafs history and longest/most prosperous era of peace. that does not mean tobirama is the second strongest hokage but he is certainly the second best at leading the village.

Just wondering, if the uchiha did what the senju did, marrying outside of the clan, eventually ashura and indras chakra would fuse inside a lot of shinobi. So would it just end up with all of konah having the potential of awakening the rinnegan?
