How to Program the Holman Two Dial Tap Timer (CO1601)

How do you reset these timers? Mine are stuck on manual operation...

Hi. My tap timer isn’t working. I’ve changed the battery & reset it but it doesn’t seem to work. Please help 🥴

I press the button and red light comes on but watering doesn't happen. If I do same on manual it works fine. I had one before and it would come on after pressing button. But this one must be a dud.

So say I want this to go off every third day, for an hour, at 5am. I'd get up at 5 in the morning, set it to 60 min, 3rd, press enter. Nothing would happen immediately, but 3 days from now it'll go off at 5 for an hour?

If you want it to start in the very early hours of the morning you are compelled to get up at that time to set it up. It's start time cannot be set in advance.
Also it drains the battery very quickly. You won't even get one season out of it and of course once flat the watering system does not work even in manual mode.

When i set it, does the water starts straight away or wait ?

My timer is running fine, however I changed the dial to man and pushed the reset button.
When the watering finished, I changed the dial back to the original setting and pushed the green button now the red button does not appear to be flashing.
Have I done something wrong?

So with this you just leave the normal faucet on the whole time?

After I set the timer the LED flashes every 1 minute instead of 30 seconds. Is that ok?

I have used the 2 Dial Tap Timer for last 6 years. It was very good. The last one got water inside the battery Compartment and it turned not working. I just bought a new one but after 5 days, the union nut suddenly got cracked into two and water flew out forcing the timer out. Luckily I was at home and heard the noise and came out to stop the water tap.
I do not know what happens if I was not at home. Water would flow freely out the garden for 2, 3, 5... days, even weeks.
Why the union nut got cracked into two. It never happened before.

when you remove the battery to reset it, do you have to totally disconnect the wires?
