I guess so. I was more referring to the keyboard type being introduced onto the laptop.I'm just sick of all of these people saying that Apple is their god. It pisses me off. PC's are just as good as Macs.

Agreed. Both PCs and Macs have their faults, and people CAN have a preference. If somebody likes their mac, I don't mind. But if they're shoving "Oh so how much better" their Mac is, then it angers me.

Isheep. Just got this pc; it's feels and looks far more expensive than it is. I highly recommend an external mouse however. I use Google Docs and other cloud computing apps so the OS is less significant than ever. Cloud computing is it and you don't need a $1500 laptop. This debate reminds me of the losers who show up to the hot club a year late not realizing the party has moved on. Get with it and save your money!

Bought on of those a few days ago, bringing it back for a refund tomorrow. It's unusable out of the box, and barely usable even after removing the bloatware. A 2Gb RAM upgrade is difficult, because for some reason they've hidden the RAM compartment beneath the motherboard. To be safe you'll need to get in a dust-free environment to upgrade the RAM. Also, no DVD player.

Drop an SSD in this laptop and you have yourself a fast laptop for surfing and media consumption.

Get at least a Momentus XT. It is a hybrid SSD/Mechanical hard drive that runs at 7200RPM. Next step up would be a 128GB SSD (Samsung, Crucial, or Intel). My laptop boots up in 10 seconds flat with my Samsung 830. I also had a 240GB Sandisk Extreme that booted up close to 10 seconds as well. Hopefully, this laptop has a SATA3 controller to benefit from a SATA3 SSD.

Uh, no, you don't. Unless you're taking apart a hard drive, dust-free environment is not necessary and asinine to say the least. You know motherboards and it's fans get dusty after several years right? I am a computer technician and I've seen computers that look like they collect dust for a living, yet after replacing the power supply (most likely from all that dust), it still works.

I'm sure you're correct, and I'll keep that in mind next time a computer store salesman tries that pitch on me!

I know what you mean. My manager uses scare tatics to get customers to cough up the money for our "fix".Luckily, I'm not the type of person.
