Assuming racism without evidence of racism is racist. Hard to believe a white man could be fascinated by ancient civilizations that aren't white. I came here to learn about the Eternals, not to hear to gay fat people rant about a related book.

I enjoyed the 70s and early 80s eternal comics. While the movie has almost nothing to do with the comics, I can see how it would be difficult to adapt them to film.

Eternal is not for me either. So, I'm gonna bail.

I dislike ancient astronaut theory as much as anyone else... I stopped watching my beloved Discovery and History channels because of that...but overly criticizing comic book stories because of some concept similarities to AAT is a bit much.

Almost ALL comic stories are based on dubious legends, myths and straight up lies 😅...a video criticizing another example of this seems unnecessarily petty 😂.

I just got into comics at 32. I haven't had the time to read AS MUCH, but I've been consuming videos about it on my free time and I'm so grateful that brought me to this channel cause this video was extremely delightful and interesting. Thank you for making such an insightful video!

Wow, this video had almost nothing to do with Jack Kirby's "Eternals." literally 95% of the video is an insufferable NerdSync constantly self- referencing his own sense of comedic wittiness along with a critique of the book, Chariot of the Gods and the series, Ancient Aliens. What there is of Kirby and the comic, is simply a brief mention tangentially connecting Kirby's Eternals to the zeitgeist of the times influenced by Chariot of the Gods.
Awful video. If you're going to make a video about the comic and the creator, it helps not to digress 10% of the way through with critiques about a book and a separate TV show.

I remember discovering the Eternals, Chariots of the Gods, In Search Of ... (hosted by Leonard Nimoy), and the Night Stalker all at the same time when I was a little kid. I didn't believe any of it was true, but I enjoyed all of it quite a bit. When we're kids, I think we enter into fantasy worlds much more easily -- and much more honestly. We recognized the fun of myths, monsters, ancient secrets, space aliens, and investigators (or newspaper reporters like Carl Kolchak) going out and uncovering "the truth," without believing it was real. Apparently, some adults need to believe it is.

Here because of this quarters correction episode of Probably Not Aliens, good pick for a rewatch. ❤️

I think something interesting is that, even if it was glossed over, the fact that Stonehenge was made by I believe the Celts/Gaels, who were seen as uncivilized and barbaric, meaning that it's yet another group that was seen as "Lesser" being called into question of their ability to put stones in a group

Just to add on the Nasca Lines, archaeologists/anthropologists have tended to dismiss the ingenuity of non-white peoples. Mostly because said archaeologists and anthropologists were well to do white men trying to convince others that they're important.

Never read these comics.

Chariots of the gods was fun but ridiculous. Who did these amazing things? It was people. Soylent green is people and they also made pyramids. Did feed in to a lot of conspiracy theories but so did nostradamus. Don't be naive or look for patterns in random events.

Is there such a thing as tin foil? In my 58 years I’ve never seen tin foil. I’ve seen aluminum foil but never tin. So, someone can upu tell me if there is such a thing?
