Star Citizen's Perfect Ship for Pyro and 4.0

I love this ship... but I have to disagree with this take. Its too weak for Pyro. Too many assholes will ruin your day. The polaris is the only ship I'll be taking through Pryo. They reduced the HP, its not no Point defences. I love it, but no, this will be killed constantly.

I have the Expedition version. I love flying her around the verse.

I need the pool table to be functional.

No pilot controlled guns....hard to say perfection imo. Still only one entrance.....pffft.

We need the rear elevator and cargo door/ramps to go the the ground x-[

I love this ship as far as its design goes but it's entirely useless as far as its intended purpose goes, There's a lot of planned jump points and systems cig plan to make but I dont see the game ever getting large enough to have uncharted jump points and systems, even if they did im sure the player base would have them found in a matter of days. im curious to see if they ever do create a gameplay loop for this but as it stands its just gonna be an explorer.

I love the Carrack but that rear elevator has no business NOT being able to exit the ship.

I wonder how they'll nerf it to sell its competitor in the future...

She's too expensive for me. I'll stay with my Andromeda (she's for me the most beautiful ship). The Carrack will be my goal when there are no more wipes and I can earn her in-game and "keep" her.

Finally detachable, don't hold your breath, you can't even use half the cargo space with this change, and we still can't get anything through doors for medical play, loading/unloading the Pisces. Don't fool yourself, it's never going to happen with this ship, no matter how much I love it. The elevator will NEVER be "fixed", it was never an option because they moved on and finalized their model before bothering to solve the tech issue.

The only thing I disagree with is that the carrack has not a single weapon that is pilot controlled, like why the F can't the pilot have access to the remote turret !!!

Well when the cargo came I thought the Polaris would be better so I upgraded it. the windows are a good point to the Carrack but most of the time you are not in that part of the ship, you are either flying it or exiting the ship to do something ( box delivery ) and as the Vulture and the Prospector fit in the Polaris all good for salvage and mining ( when the bags can come off and stored just whish they would change the bags to a box )

The doors appeared buggy.
Is the game still buggy, should I give it another chance, or should I wait until they have polished it more?

Wish you could lock all guns in the forward position and allow the pilot to use them when needed.

My Carrack, is a Liberator

The Carrack is not good at all.
The front elevator doesn't even exit ship, you have to open large cargo doors then go through corridor and find elevator, it's horrible to get in and out of to and from cockpit!
Too much a maze, Polaris has less decks and is larger, just more intuitive.

I just upgraded my carrack 3 years ago into a Bannu Merchantmant and i dont regret it, it think that once BMM launch sometime in the next years it will be a relic ship with insane high price and just as same capabilities as the carrack, its literally a nomad flying market

I hate how much this game's concept pulls me in. Mainly because I couldn't wait 20 years and jumped into the alpha plenty of times. Hardware crashes, software crashes, falling through the floor randomly, delivery packages disappearing on delivery missions, plenty of other missions that are busted and finding out after spending 1-2 hours and running to reddit to find out it's busted. I can go on and on.

But despite ALL OF THAT... when the game is working like it should, it's beautiful and there's no other game experience like it. I love the fact that there's no smoke & mirrors. I hope they continue to hammer through the headaches and make the ultimate space experience 👍

My first jump point was obligatory with the Carrack. Carrack is home.

One of the things that you notice with the Carrack when you walk around its interior is all the different set dressing the various rooms have; rooms like the medical bay, mess hall, captain's quarters, crew bathrooms, etc. Why is that level of detail missing from a lot of the new ships coming into the game? The Polaris interior is sterile in comparison, and no amount of arguing that it is a military vessel (so was the Carrack) explains away why its medical room has devoid of medical screens and medical equipment, why its mess hall has no amenities and food items for the crew, why the docking collar is missing an eva suit locker similar to the Carrack's, and why its bathrooms have none of the same crew amenities other ships like the Carrack have. All of this set dressing add to the immersion of being inside a lived in space. The Carrack is so well done top to bottom and I hope ships like the Polaris get that same level of love and attention.

Carrack is OLD, the design was meant to an unknown mechanic (Exploration) and will end like the reclaimer, an outdated ship design that doesnt fill the needs.
Look at Polaris, you can swap cargo from a hangar to the cargo bay easy, someone injured can land on a terrapin medic and go straight to medical bay, you cant do this in the Carrack.
Carrack is obsolet, Im sorry.

Just started the video, praying the hangar size was normalized.

The interior layout is the Carracks main fault. Having to go all the way to the back of the ship to change gear and then passing multiple doors to exit a slow ramp is a terrible design choice. Same for medical gameplay. The cartography deck being completely detached from the cockpit makes no sense. And mentioning the cockpit, it should have had a proper bridge, not this bizarre split deck configuration. Why would the captain be on a different deck than the pilot? Why three bloody pilot seats? Then again, not a single big ship has a proper bridge. I sincerely hope they expand big ship gameplay beyond them basically being small ships, except slow and heavy.

My problem with the Engineering room; even with the Highly demanded elevator from the rear to enter the ship... or the cargo pods lowering to the ground for cargo loading. My concern/problem with the engineering room is how do you get the LARGE components thru them doors??? Repairing I can see...but replacing on the fly...not so much...

I bought it when it came out but then made the dumb decision to upgrade to the Odyssey, I still have the Carrack as a loaner and still play with it every day hoping that the Odyssey is also an amazing ship.

I've been wishing to buy the Carrack since I started playing Star Citizen in 2020, but because of its steep price, I'm a bit hesitant to spend that much.

My perfect ship for visiting Pyro will be the RAFT.. however other than exploring a bit. I doubt I'll spend much time there. The whole Free for All wild west smelly PvP zone just does not interest me much. Stanton and the good old trade routes there will stay my main place.

I've owned an Expedition for a while now. I've never once even thought about trading it. It's the biggest ship I own and will always be the Crown Jewel of my fleet. Newer ships may be shinier now but you just wait and see. The Carrack will be top in it's class for it's size... period.

Perfection????? You'll see perfection when you need to take someone from outside the ship to the ship's medical bay. This ship needs the elevator to reach the ground, and the entrance to the medical bay must face the elevator.

I am honestly worried about the scale of the game, Im worried as a filthy casual I wont really be able to play this game "well". I am in love with the idea of deep space exploration, I do have the Crrack but imagine myself in the Free Lancer DUR since I will likely be playing solo. Any thoughts on that?

I am sorry, love your videos, but "Perfection" in the thumbnail is not the word to address the Carrack, specially when adding back features that were broken or promised from concept and never delivered. Sorry, but perfection is a stretch when related to the Carrack.

Too bad C.I.G. did not make the "Cargo pods" drop down like an elevator then open out [__/ or could open like bomb bay doors. Shoot we have Tailgates on Pickup trucks that multi open ? 🤔🤔🤔

I love the carrack, it’s an awesome ship, but I’m still waiting for the Connie’s to get something more. They are awesome but feel old!
