Another excellent post-mortem analysis, thanks. As for Ding, HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE THERE! I don't know where the pressure is coming from but Ding is in no condition, mentally, to be playing a world championship match. Sorry, but that's how I read this guy. PS: I think Nakamura can beat both of these players in a simultaneous match. 🙂

Hikaru this seems kinda random but you should try and contact kai cenat and hop on on one of his streams. A lot of people would love to see that

Nakamura needs to explain how is this a World championships when Number 6 is playing number 15 rated player in the world? It’s just a tournament with 2 very good players.

Ding is playing scared and seems content drawing every game to retain his title, its honestly hard to watch. Sure, caruana magnus drew every gsme but thats because they both were playing at an unbelievably high level. Ding is just hunting draws hoping gukesh presses so I hope for the sake of chess ding loses.

Looks like the challengers one weak spot is the rook and pawn endgame, one of the most difficult to understand, let alone play over the board at a WC game. Ding and his team would do well to know this and try steer future games towards such endings if they want to avoid a middle game with a calculating machine like Gukesh on the other side.

Hikaru just looks so jealous of this years WCC that he call every match of Ding vs Gukesh like drama, lousy prep, story etc.. Bruhh Hikaru stop judging like this if you couldn't even become a World Chess Champion. Tho Gukesh is a GM he is just 18years so atleast act mature you are married person. Look at Gotham Chess his thumbnails caption he gives more interesting and positive vibes than Hikaru.

Gukesh deserves a massive props and thanks from the chess community wherever they're from, for declining the initial draw snd going into an innacuracy just to play for a win and give us a game.

Live commentators around the world did that. Pundits like Levy not so much who will be nitpicking like stuck ups and sometimes with misunderstanding like Hikaru did when one of his sheeple chatter said Gukesh contradicted himself in the press conference when he actually didn't and Hikaru ran away with it since it was reinforcing his preconceived notion.

Ding 'isn't trying very hard' is just a bad take. Why would he take 40 minutes to make a move you said he should have played instantly if he wasn't trying? If anything, it shows the opposite, that he may care too much. He's been overly cautious, but he's been in terrible form. He's getting his confidence back and is level in a match where most people thought he'd lose easily. He's doing fine and definitely is trying.

it's funny to see a streamer criticizing the world champion, Tbh i liked you back when you didn't had so much ego.

at times i thought you are better than magnus, but every time you lost a match you called yourself a streamer to run away from the critics, but now you act like you can do a better job than the world champion, which you couldn't hence why you are here analyzing his games and he is there in Singapore.

Ok personally speaking Ding does NOT deserve the WCC title anyways idk what happened to Gukesh he looks like hes showing worse performance than the candidates idk why but the World Chess Championship just feels like both players just want to draw and get out of the board mainly ding

Bro acts like Ding is some amateur purposefully losing time and making draws, while bro casually sits in his chair sees the engine and evaluation, and finds out the correct moves out of the hundreds of possibilites over the chess board from every single move at a time. Bro has some serious issues with both Ding and Gukesh.

Your ego man wow. Its radiating at this point. You can analyse without coming off like a prick.
Ding is the world champion and gukesh the candidate
Put some respect when talking about their games.
Thank God for Magnus keeping people like you in check
