Don't Waste Your Money: Best laundry detergents

Persil stinks. Maybe if they make unscented. I find if you have decent detergent and the stains and dirt are just not coming out of your clothes, you need to check the settings on your washing machine, particularly if you have a front loader, and put the setting on heavily soiled. If you put some detergent or treatment directly on the stains and use the longer heavily soiled settings, your clothes should get clean. HEAVILY SOILED SETTINGS are important!!!

I use cheap laundry detergent with some baking soda with a little white vinegar in the rinse cycle. If my whites start to look dingy, a little bleach. I don't use these overpriced/overhyped detergents from P&G; they aren't worth the money.

Tide pods are the worst. In an HE washer, it ALWAYS over sudses the machine and takes several cycles to wash out all of the suds.

I use gain flings and thats it and a dryer sheet saves me alot of money

First rinse add splash white vinegsar, removes residue. Second clear water rinse. Fabric softner light, otherwise u attract grime

Purex and baking soda. Pretreat most stains with either purex or dish soap and baking soda.

What about Gain liquid detergent? is the one i always use.

Tide does NOT rinse out all of the way. My mother showed me this way back in the 70's. Take an article of clothing washed in Tide and put in back in water. You will get a sink full of suds.

Is gain laundry soap a good one ????

I have to use a certain kind without things added. Most laundry.soaps bother my skin.

9/10/23 Went to buy a bottle of Aldi/Tandil detergent today. Same weight as my existing bottle but the strength went from 69 to 63 loads. They are watering it down to save money.

I use distilled white vinegar with 2-2 1/2 tbl spoons of arm and hammer detergent. Maybe ill add 1 tbl spoon of wash soda.

I used to buy liquid detergent for longest time and then I was shopping walmart one day & saw Foca, a mexican powder detergent. $4 and change. bought it and it works perfectly, I only use 1/2 cup per load and it gets my clothes perfectly clean. one bag of it has lasted me over a year I will never buy detergent with water in it again

I found Persil is a joke...arm n hammer with oxy works best for me..

I use soap nuts...and u can use it on ur hair...and clean ur home...u can get a bag for 6.99 for a hundred or 9.99 for 300 washes of amazon u can reuse the nuts a couple of times and its great for our rivers and streams...but be careful if u have a nut allergy 😊

All of those are horrible. All you need is Foca, Zote, Borax, White Vinegar, and Dawn Dish Soap.

Don´t use liquid detergents, pods, caps, discs, or any of that crap...

Very toxic, many contain carcinogens. And we put them on our bodies 24 hours a day. Lessen your toxic load by choosing 7th Generation, Ec9s, or other non toxic laundry soap.

I see some comments about using powder instead, I used powder when I had nothing else while at a laundromat & I was so itchy that I never used it again. I used Purex plus Oxi in college since we had one laundry room & it worked then I switched to Arm & Hammer plus Oxi. So Oxi is clearly what works
