I live in Ohio it gets pretty cold here at night. I was wondering since I live in a brick apartment on the second floor what would be my best option for an outdoor camera @LifeHackster
ОтветитьS40 Eufy cameras are horrible. Installed 8 s40 cameras and just after the 1 year warranty expired 6 have failed to charge. One camera, the spotlight, will not turn off, thus dead battery. Deeply regret spending my money on eufy products, two keypads for my eufy home security failed just after the one year warranty and they don't make the keypad anymore. This renders my window and door sensors useless. Don't waste your money on eufy.
ОтветитьWhat would you suggest for a cemetery where there is no WiFi. I need security
ОтветитьKuya anong wire free mairecommend nyo po. Eufy?
ОтветитьThis was a great video. The points you brought up about wireless cameras are all the things I see people complaining about. Now I know it is the tech and not the manufactuer. Battery powered cameras are not for me. Thank You!!!!
ОтветитьI need to get some security cameras asap, but I am having anxiety over which one(s) to purchase. Thank you so much for your video. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge of SC's.
ОтветитьWow!! Great video! Knowing nothing about this subject, I bought a wireless Blink system at Costco for $189.00 (5 cameras). I had NO idea they didn’t record 24/7 and the resolution may not be that great and the detection distance is limited. Things I didn’t even think about! You get what you pay for! You saved me a great deal of time and probable frustration! I’ll be returning the Blink system and buying a much higher-end, wired system! THANK YOU 😅
ОтветитьGreat video 👍🏻
ОтветитьI really liked that you finished your discussion by saying the wired systems are better. I was about to search google and ask which system is better. But I obviously can trust your judgement based on the rest of your insite. Thank you.
ОтветитьI need your advice. I just tested some TP-Link Tapo TC85 cameras, and kept getting an annoying "infinity" symbol swirling around for varying lengths of time, both when attempting to watch the "live stream", and when navigating to different settings within the app. I'm sending them back, but before I order an alternative brand, I need to know if this is normal. If so, then we'll go with a more traditional "appliance / DVR / Web UI" installation.
ОтветитьHi! I would like to ask you something, I whached a lot of your videos but could not found the answer for this.
I want to install a security system at my grampas home, it's a small home, with 2 interior cameras and 1 exterior camera I could cover all entries.
I'm trying diferent brands but can't find one that works for them. I have a Reolink and a tapo system at my home, but neither of them can be activated or desactivated fisically.
my grampas won't be able to enter the app on their phones to activate and desactivate the system so what I would like to do it's for them to have a pad where they can put a pin or something to activate or desactivate the alarm and my dad would heve the app to set everything.
I saw that an option could be ring with it's alarm kit.
do you think that this would be the better option?
Which one of these battery cams records 24/7?
Sorry I had to.
Wired IP camera, including Power and Ethernet are always the first choice if you able to do that. Stable and secure.
ОтветитьWhy does the camera need to record 24 hours? I just want it to record when it picks up motion.
ОтветитьAlways top notch info. Thanks again.
ОтветитьOne more thing that is a problem with Internet-based CCTV, if at the start the CCTV is on and there is no internet connection, then the recording time will reset to the default year (1970). So people will think that if there is no internet there is no recording, even though the recording time only returns to the default year. Battery-based CCTV may still be able to overcome this as long as the battery doesn't completely run out. I hope that Internet-based CCTV such as Smart Cam or IP Cam has a CMOS battery to store time settings.
ОтветитьPlease can you review Arlo’s new Essential product line?
ОтветитьIs reolink still the best cctv
ОтветитьIs there any wired camera with backup battery? Besides nest cams of course. I wish Eufy had something like this...
ОтветитьActually one thing is wrong the sensor detection you said goes off with heat but that wrong it goes off with falling leaves a wind
ОтветитьWell explained!! This is why I prefer wired security cameras. it can be a pain to adjust battery camera setups until you are satisfied.
Thank you for sharing great information !
Thanks Lifehackster for the information very helpful 👍👍
Ответить💐👍👏🌹🌷👏👍💐
ОтветитьIf it could fit in with your format for this channel, would you consider looking into comparing how notifications work on a WYze Watch vs Apple Ultra vs other competitors in that Wearable space that try to report on security breaches ??
ОтветитьThis is a excellent top quality expose' on battery cams.. Really well written, produced, and presented.
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic insight into not only wireless cameras, but some of the things to look for in a security camera. Great work, very well put together and your videos/reviews are the most thorough of any reviews that I watch. I'm definately thinking about a wired camera with more reliability and longer range.
I think an ethernet cable would be the only other thing to help them be most reliable, but then again, a back-up power supply for your internet and camera if you want the most reliability.
But people have budgets and you've gotta compromise with some features. Great work!
Do you trust any of the cameras that are made from China?
ОтветитьI went with ring stick up cameras few years ago. I have 20 stick up cameras and I still need more lol. $59.99 during sales times is pretty good. 1080p resolution is fine. I recommend getting the wired stick up camera and battery ones mixed. Some spots you might need dependable power. The wired stick up cams record longer and wider motion view. You can buy the power cord but it’s $39.99 for just the cord. That’s why it’s best to get both the wired and battery ones. They cost the same either one. You can view the ring cameras with an Amazon fire stick on your tv as well and talk and hear. Great feature! Doesn’t have to be on your iPad or phone all the time. Btw I wanted to get nest cameras but I found out their battery are internal and can’t be replaced. Once they go out goodbye camera! I liked the nest cameras but that won’t work for me. The other brands like blink or eufu whatever seem generic to me.
ОтветитьAre you going to make a 2023 review again of your cameras your sticking with?
ОтветитьI am really enjoying Tapo products now
ОтветитьAlways Learn Something New! Thanks for the Awesome Video!
ОтветитьThere's only one thing you need to know about battery powered cameras, don't buy one, powered is always the best and the way to go.
ОтветитьIf you had to choose one POE outdoor cam system on the market today which would you choose? Which camera? Thanks in advance! Love you channel.
ОтветитьFantastic collection of insights; this is one of the most useful video I have seen on this topic.
ОтветитьThank you LH for this great and informative video. When can we expect your next best camera ranking video?
ОтветитьI got a question. I have a battery operated eufy dual camera doorbell. Does eufy has an upgrade to power the doorbell via solar panel? The house did not come with pre wired doorbell power wires.
ОтветитьDistance from cam to base station seems to use up battery too going by the records I have been keeping. Thanks for the video matey.
ОтветитьHello Hackster thank you all of this great info.i have a question for you my stick up cam is turning me crazy keep getting any cars the pass by sensitivity is in the lowest and the zone is on the grass but keep sense any car the pass by do you have any trick i can do to stop that. i dont want ring any more but i have 7 cameras going to be to expensive to change the so i keep them for now
ОтветитьEnjoy your videos but seeing too many wireless battery cam reviews, though popular, I don't like them. Please review current POE cam system.
ОтветитьGreat video thank you for the information. Can you do a video and simplify it what exactly in the heck does rule mean on the wyze cameras
ОтветитьWifi cameras are for "convenience", until youre left unprotected until you get the ladder out to charge the battery. I really believe wifi jammers are going to be adopted by more and more thief's and people relying on these will be left with no notification, and no tvs🤷
ОтветитьGood stuff! Thanks.
ОтветитьGreat video i'd like to see if you could make one for seven things you need to know about outdoor Hardwired or POE powered cameras
ОтветитьHey I bought a set of RLC81MA cameras based on your reviews, can you tell me what cables do I need to run from the cameras
ОтветитьThank you for this video! I have learned a lot from you!
ОтветитьWhich wired eufy cam with 2 or 4k can I get that doesn’t require a home base?
ОтветитьVery informative! Thank you LH!
