Not a good plan, you're paying more for your cake when you cut it like that. Get more for your money by cutting it straight across because that's how most bakers are pricing when they charge by the slice. Considering that this cutting style will equal less servings, you just paid more per serving!

Am I too late to ask about: "Who is making a cake that big? How many people are at a party to need that big a cake? One person alone would need to eat half a piece before that cake is finished. The bowl is fine, I have no problem with the bowl, but in a normal setting why that big a cake?
