If anyone still reading comments under 3 years old video. What if i wanna my character to be good at skills from different abilities? like Insight, Persuasion and Slight of hands? or i just can't?
ОтветитьI hope expertise gets added to the game
ОтветитьHopefully they allow for Guidance.
ОтветитьFor the passive checks, I'm pretty sure it's a d20 being rolled in the background. Swen mentioned in an interview that they're trying to emulate the feeling you get when the Dungeon Master suddenly starts rolling his die without telling the participants what's happening, instilling a feeling of foreboding in the player.
ОтветитьIts up to level 10. I get it. But here's my concern: can a Divinity based game handle 7,8,9 level spells? In other words, will Time Stop, Gate, Meteor Swarm et al completely destroy the fine turn based balance of these Divinity-ish games? Thoughts?
ОтветитьExcellent videos as always man. Just recently stumbled onto DnD and now BG3 is all I can think about, learning so much from your channel. What gameplay footage are you rolling here? I've seen two streams, the reveal and the PAX east 2020 but haven't seen some of these clips anywhere else.
Ответитьare they ruining this product with the removal of evil races?
Ответитьyou didnt touch on perception vs investigation checks and how theyre implemented differently within the game. like that guy failed a perception check to find the hidden switch, could he then just explore the area and find it through investigating?
ОтветитьAny word on how online multiplayer will be? It’s kind of make or break for me if there is no party forming end game for my max level character. Would be awesome to have a weekly group of level 10s to meet up and take on new/difficult challenges.
ОтветитьLast night I dreamt that early access came out today, and I downloaded it. Then I woke up, and internally cried. Lmao.
ОтветитьI will watch all of your BG3 videos! Keep up the great work. Smart to keep them around 15 to 20 minutes and separate the content into bite size, easy to follow sections. Thanks again!
ОтветитьFinally we will get DnD video game that uses ability and skill checks corectly
ОтветитьI think I will actively avoid seeing what passive checks there are the first couple playthroughs.
ОтветитьI feel like last 3 intros have been "more than 30" "40" and "45" but that could be time glitching as the demons consume our universe aas well 👍
Ответитьoh straight to the point. nice
Ответитьi cant wait to go into this this and roll constant ones cause alas that is my luck. :D
ОтветитьIt looks like Divinity Original Sin 3
ОтветитьI’ll be honest, I’ve never played any game in this series, and probably never will because I don’t have hardware to support it. I kinda just like listening to you explain it. Anybody else? Hoping I’m not a weirdo 🤞🏻
ОтветитьCan you just save and reload to keep trying passive checks until you succeed?
ОтветитьMan, you rock! Great content, love your BG3 videos and the game it isn't live yet, thanks
Ответитьstupid question, how much of this game is solo, how much is party driven?
does the game only take into account who is "leading" (human control - party follow) for abilities, or do ALL party members roll passives.
why do I see so much SOLO play?
Thank you for these REALLY helpful, well explained videos. I played BG1 & BG2 and did not understand a huge deal about THACOs ("To hit armoured class 0"?) etc but still loved the games. Your videos are making me want to really get into the game and I will be able to make better choices!
Ответитьthis game looks honestly very interesting and I'm happy that you're covering it I've watched most of what you've put out in terms of videos in regards to this game so just words of encouragement to keep up doing a good job man thanks
ОтветитьI hope they change the dice roll aesthetic, so you can actually see the dice rolling around instead of having it just "spin" in place. Having it roll in place seems contrived, kind of like a slot machine IMO
ОтветитьSomething just crossed my mind the other day. We've only seen few companions up to this point. And I'm fine with that, don't wanna know to much.
Remember BG2 ? There were like 14+ companions (insane), most if not all of them totally optional (Viconia, Krogan, so many, and many of them being Class doublons, but with different Sub-class givin,g fresh new flavor to your party and your journey...)
I wonder if they'll deliver on that side. I don't wanna get stuck forever with Gale, Laezel, Will, SH & Astarion in multiple playthroughs...
I'm sure there will be more than them, but I hope it's not 2-3 more only. It's Baldur's Gate, need 10+ as a bare minimum (excluding the five already revealed)
I'm realistic, it's a lot to ask for indeed... but at the same time, I feel like it's a legit requirement that has to be met, to be a worthy successor of a game that has Baldur's Gate in its name.
Thanks ! I'm now more aware of the utility of the Bard for "jack of all trades" feats. But it means also that Charisma and the character you choose will have a dramatic impact on the outcoming of events. I'm now sure to pick Gale and hope that his skillset are about History/Arcana and maybe perception & investigation. It will be great to see the score of our beloved party members.
ОтветитьI think Deal101 may be correct about the passive checks that its a roll (they said its not passive, which confused me.... but I get they mean its behind the scenes BUT NOT automatic)... I can't quite remember (its been so long) but I think that when I used to play D&D a way I THINK we handled these kinds of checks that is a good compromise between these two methods (have a set perception etc vs roll every time) is have a single roll for the entire event... I.E. you go in a room and explore the DM rolls a check for you... It does not matter if you keep walking away from the wall and coming back you always get the same result HOWEVER If you move on do something else (and maybe rest?) you can then re-roll... Is this a thing people do? Could this be how the game works? It makes sense to me.... from vague BG1 memories it seems possible it worked like that...
ОтветитьHopefully there will be a mod that just removes the entire dice roll system and make it like in divinity os.
ОтветитьI love your videos. You put so much dedication and time so that we can know more about this game. 👍❤️
Ответитьwolfheart, if you have seen the latest gameplay from Sven you will immediately know it is not passive perception check, because there is no way that Laizul the fighter has a passive perception that is higher than the cleric shadowheart who has more wisdom than her and it is highly possible that shadowheart even have proficiency in wisdom perception check and she just failed to notice the goblins at the roof when Liazul saw them so i guess it is a roll which is waaay better, because i do not want half my party failing the perception check because they just cannot meat the passive perception of the high lvl secrets
ОтветитьI wonder when this will be on console
