I’m confused, is it because people die headfirst into a body of water and shallow or is this guy suggesting don’t dive into anybody water even if you know it’s 40 feet deep where you’re at?

I've built many pools, and yes the building smells like chlorine long before anyone goes swimming. Not sure where this myth comes from, and worse that a doctor repeats it.

How the hell do you injure yourself with a dive shown in the video? No other objects, she didn't went straight down so she didn't hit the bottom. All she hit was the water with minimal force.

B.S. just my wife and I. No one is peeing in our pool. Just the robot cleaner and he doesn’t pee. Also, go open a bucket of chlorine tablets and tell me it doesn’t smell in that smug tone while wearing your scrubs.

Banana Battle, a theme park water ride in belgium has a very strong chlorine smell even tho it would be impossible for people to urinate in it (without grabbing a lot of attention)

I’m just gonna not even bs it that’s a whole lie, liquid chlorine has a very strong smell, especially the giant chlorine tablets they straight up burn your nose with that smell if your face gets near the bucket of them

i case of chlorine. its not only pee. swet and other body fluid can triger this reaction to.

2 years ago i was on the beach. my fried calls here son on the phone and tell him not sit at home on PC,, come on the beach and enjoy your self. he comes and tell me lets go jump from the pier made from wood. i come from town where we alway need to jump shalow because water is not deep and there could be cra. in the water. water was lav but for me that was no problem. i say we move more up because i dont know about his jumping skills. i ask him do you know how to jump. he say ja sure. hight was like about 2 metars up. i run and jump, hit the water shalow no problem. i am standing in water. water is to my hips. i see him run and jump. he did not jump up, he straith head dived in with full speed. i knew it was a bad jump. but i did not think much about it. he hits the water like a arrow. no slowing down just straith in. he come up on the surface face down, i still dont understand what is happening. i think he is playing or something. that is all happening in seconds. i grab him and turn him around. i put my hand uder his neck to suport his head in water. i knew it was all wrong. his lips was blue, he was alive but i belived he will not survive to the beach. his mom scream and his sister was like something you dont forget. he did survive. he cant move from neck down

We get chlorine ahipped through the mail at FedEx with no pee in it. Smells massively of chlorine.

The part about chlorinated water not smelling is 100% false. Chlorinated drinking water absolutely has a smell, and I'm going to guess it's not because of all the pee in it.

No hands in front bad fourm like water is an object and has resistance when diving even diving like these will strain the neck if it you dont get paralyzed.

The chlorine my pool guy uses smells like what you would think chlorine would smell like.

When I was a kid, I was at a river on a family weekend day out and suddenly someone raised the alarm that a girl who was looking after a younger girl had disappeared, the people who were present tried to find her under the dark water, finally somebody felt her body and pulled her up to the surface. She could not be revived. She was covered with a white blanket as she lay on the shore while waiting for the authorities to show up (this happened in Venezuela where emergency crews take a while to turn up at a scene), after about 15 or so minutes, I clearly remember her abdomen, for lack of a better word, had "ballooned" to a size as big as about 3 footballs.

She didn't even look like she hit her head. She actually looks like she starts to swim upwards after diving.

I don't know how to dive butt first. Of course I've never dove into shallow water so......

Chlorine is not odorless lmao i had a 13500 gallon pool running for about 3 years the amount of chlorine i had to put in the pool every other day is gross the smell it gives off is crazy strong

Take a deep breath from a chlorine container and say again it is odorless. Well.. you should hurry up with telling afterwards tho

Never dive in a pool if you haven't seen the depth with your eyes first, at first just enter it with the ladder/stairs

I dove in when they didn't allow it and I got yelled at afterwards. It was 6 feet and I was a kid with no diving experience.
The kicker was that when I came out and was getting yelled at by a lifeguard I acted cool but I was in so much pain from hitting the bottom. I never dove again and I do not let my kids dive into the pool.

P.s. it could be enough chlorine but what matters is how dirty the water gets due to how many ppl are in it and peeing. If the pool smells, it's probably not good!
