came from watching 100 foot wave or whatever on HBO and was honestly a little grossed out by the mindset these dudes exhibited.

I was wiped out by a 30ft waves and was lost in the middle of the ocean for 3 days before being rescued. Fuh that was one fucking scary experience.

I cant imagine ever surfing wave of this size. God bless this man. Its a difficult matter to digest. I feel so horrible for the man and his family

The worst thing for these poor souls is they went out doing what they love yes but was in what must’ve been sheer agony, it’s bad enough to drown in fresh water but salt water ruptures you lungs so you not only drown but maybe feel the pain of your lungs exploding. 😢 Rest In Peace to all in this video. I wish I had the skill and guts of these guys.

This stuff is really scary, it just goes to show how much of a legend these guys are, bodyboarding and surfing such rewarding sports but very high risk. The other day I was bodyboarding 4-5ft dumpers and someone snaked me and I got thrown over right into a sandbar head first, luckily I only came out with a graze on the side of my head.

I'm not a surfer and don't know these stories.
Is it drowning that kills them?
