Love how no one talks about the o-line completely crumbling and breaking down you can’t blame everything on Sam but the talking heads love to.

You would think that Sam Darnold is a playable character in Super Mario World. Walls were closing in on him and he was seeing ghosts.

Quarterbacks get too much credit when things go well and too much blame when they don’t. A weak offensive line can make even Tom Brady struggle, and if receivers can’t get open, the QB is stuck throwing the ball away, holding it too long, or scrambling. Athletic QBs like Mike Vick and Lamar Jackson can mask these issues with highlight-reel runs, but most QBs depend on strong support. When the O-line and receivers are top-tier, even average QBs can look amazing. I’ve played the position and know the difference. With great protection and targets, I shined. With rookie linemen, I was running for my life. My skills didn’t change—my situation did. That’s the reality of the position

OC should be fired. He was trying to pass for 50 yards at a time instead of adjusting the plays for shorter quicker passes. I'm sorry you would have to fire the HC because he is the OC

If you're not cautiously optimistic as a long time Vikings fan you're a glutton for punishment.

People have to remember that Sam Donald is a journeyman backup quarterback. Most of the Vikings success this year is due to their head coach.

I just re-watched the game.
The nullified Cashman touchdown was pivotal, because the way it effected the score caused KOC to go for it late in the 2nd instead of punting. That play changed the game entirely. It should have been intentional grounding at the least. Stafford had his head below his knees with a hand on his back pushing him down, and the "throw" was not in the direction that Pacua was actually going. So instead of a 10-10 score, it eventually lead to a 17-3 score after the Rams fumble return. That defensive score by the Rams should have only given them a TD lead at 17-10, but the league wanted LA to win in my opinion.
Sam was not at fault for most of his sacks, despite what Aikman tried to portray it as. The plays called didn't give him many checkdown options for as fast as the pass rush was getting to him. He started the game 7 for 7, which leads me back to the Cashman TD, because it changed the remainder of the game for both teams. Stafford had cooled off, and the only reason it looked so big was KOC giving them field position at the end of the first half. I encourage a re-watch of the game before you just make Sam the scapegoat. The offensive line and playcalling was the reason you think Sam played bad. SKOL

The oline should take a much bigger piece of blame than saying Darnold just sucked. He obviously didn't play good but he's not the only reason that team failed last night.

Daronld showed his true colors the last two games of the season he's not playoff caliber QB he can't play under pressure in big games and KOC is a terrible play caller dude got outcoached two weeks in a row 🤦🏽‍♂️

darnold is just not the guy. Hopefully the Vikings don't sign him or franchise him. He's not smart, has no awareness and his vision is terrible.

I said this past offseason; the Vikings need to fix there interior o-line, they did not; there’s your result.
Message for KOC, you were the OC of the Super bowl Champion Rams. You should know what it takes to Win in the playoffs. Fix the damm O-line and you will Win.

I'm not sure whether KOC is whispering the right stuff. However, I do think he speaks his mind in public settings and broadcasts way too much.

I personally think the fumble call turned the whole game around for the Vikings. We would’ve had the momentum, but as usual, the referees made the wrong call.

We don’t and we never had a good offensive line and until we fix that offensive line they could get any quarterback they want we will still suck

The Vikings O-line needs help. The tackles are set, but they need 2 guards and a center. That's for starters, not to excuse Darnold who couldn't even throw a little swing pass accurately.

Some of it is Oline, some is play calling, a lot of it is metal. Better teams and his future made it not another game, he is not good in such games.
