Disappointing that the arts is almost gone. Old fighters back then are mythical in Myanmar back then. Countless years of fighting killed off most of them and the real martial arts are lost.
My grandparents used to tell me stories about Lethwei fighters like how people are not supposed to get close to them when they’re about to pass away. Because no matter how old they are, they’ll loose their sanity like elephant and display all their moves before dying.

As soon as WLC gets some decent announcers and commentators that don't sound like old KoF video games, this will definitely take off.
Can't be easy to announce or call these fights but their tone makes these awesome fights sound like an old 80's movie.

There knuckles are taped and wrapped not bare. Check out bare knuckle fighting championship from the USA. They're bare knuckle tape inch below the knuckle.

Came to Lethwei because of Dave Leduc stayed because the fights are more honest and just plain bad-ass. Fantastic format. Would like to see the flag break at end of fight, missed that. Also glad to see the KO time out removed. That was an express lane to the trauma center. To paraphrase the great Pat Miletich 'these guys have no interest in spelling at age 50.'
