Hello Lucky. Thanks for your multiple ESO in 2024 videos. Is it possible to play this in a mostly or strictly RPG-questing style like Skyrim? Want go through the story quests with my wife.

I like the world, the lore quests were nice. But the combat is straight up boring and spammy, no weight and I have played the game for like 300 hours and spent a lot on it. Won't come back to it because of that alone.

I have 1k + hours in the game on playstation and now quitted in favor of gw2. I loved it at first, but then the greed started showing it self. Every single reward that couldve been implemented in-game was blocked behind a paywall. Combat is lazy easy, everything dies in 1-2 hits, pve content is a joke except arenas and raids that can be somewhat challenging, WvW is broken, and classes have near 0 impact, they almost all perform the same.

My issue with eso crown store and monetisation is extremely predetory!!!!

Zos deliberately make in game reward so shit that anything in crown store looks better.

This game does not reward playing the game but straight up just paying them for cool looking stuff and even better in game quality of life feature like extra inv space and load out slots.

Every new class like the Arcanist now, are totally overpowered which is kinda pay to win (and ZOS cant tell me they dont do this on purpose for everyone to buy the newest dlc's)

Playing constantly without ESO+ is literally impossible

Damage, Skills and Sets are unbalanced.. it seems like ZOS doesnt care that their game is now a (i use 3 skills and do 150k DPS) game without any skill..

I still play it but.. i dont focuse on anything grindy anymore

I tried coming back but got the annoying bugged out queue when zoning on my 2nd day back after about a 20 minute queue. It's still not fixed after about 8 years, so i uninstalled it. Inexcusable for the join dungeon prompt to still be bugged after all these years

This game definitely isn't B2P unless you're love to play in misery and playing tetris with your inventory. Simply doesn't work as B2P model. You need to have ESO+ in order to work for you so don't get baited into B2P crap (buy once and play forever), yea, forever with your inventory. They literally "hide" this little, but VERY important detail which I find very scammy.

Combat in this game is why I don't play it.
Not because it's action-based, but because it's all about skipping animations. Which makes it look ugly, like I'm playing some number spreadsheets instead of the game. I want to see how my characters makes a combo, how he lands a hit, how he moves during the fight. And not just passive effects and damage he applies in 0.3 seconds with 10 skipped swings.

I prefer to play MMOs solo as much as possible nowadays. When I start an MMO I like it always in the beginning, I get friends and have fun but after a few weeks the friendlist isn't what's building up anymore, it's the block/ignore list. Then I ask myself why am I doing this to myself. Daily chores, enduring toxicity at high levels while actually paying for it.
I am bit whiny atm, but I just got fed up with another MMO, not ESO per se.
I liked eso but the issues I had was weapon swap, animation cancelling and grinding CP levels. The great things that other MMOs should copy is cosmetic freedom, dye all, weapons to whatnot. Lots of cosmetics, cool mounts, even if they are somewhat copy paste, every game does it. Well made dungeons, I just didn't like the raids so much. But when I played there were around 5-6 raids, CP max level was 650. So years ago. So I'm not ever going back to CP grinding again, even if there is a halfway soft cap, I'm not redoing it all, EVER! That's not the definition of fun.

The Elder Scrolls inventory management simulator.... the P2W is the inventory addons that come from subbing. The game is fine but the inventory in a ES game needs to be infinite.

Best MMO ever been playing since they had there beta and got the 3 day early access as well when it came out and till this day it’s a game I can come back to and just have pure fun no sweating no I got do this it’s total freedom and I love that about it. and the combat is fun tab targeting and sitting in one spot is boring eso you have to dodge, block and use certain skills in certain content to excel and execute properly to be successful it’s rewarding and fun and I prefer 2 bar swap it takes more skill and is fun but if you want simple there’s 1 bar game is total freedom not like other games

Great video! However i disagree with one statement, that if you think that wows tokens and gw2s money to gold is pay 2 win. then every mmo is pay 2 win. New world, the directionless pile of idk what it is, isnt pay 2 win by that definiton, and im sure there are plenty others. Great video! Looking forward to more

Almost got me to play it. Then I remembered why I don't. Subscription locked crafting bag. Sad to think the game has been out for 10 years and I have about 45 hours into it 9+ years ago. More sad to know that one itty-bitty feature keeps me from playing the game at all.

I've played since beta off and on but finally uninstalled for good last year. It's just not a long term or veteran friendly game. After you've played a few years there's nothing to do but wait on cash shop updates. Yearly content releases add about 5 hours of gameplay for full price.

ESO has easily the most fair monetization systems of any game to date. The game is nearly fully playable as a F2P and for less than $15 a month you gain access to almost $20 worth of in game shop currency, unlimited crafting bag space, as well as all prior DLC and expansions without purchase. It's such a great value.
