The Shadowlands Scourge Invasion Experience...

Been such a short time but I already reminisce over infecting the hell out of the server Moon Guards’ Lion’s pride Inn in Elwynn. Something about infecting the erpers in mass was amazing, the amount defense they put up as well made it a fight to remember.

Kinda sad that the best thing they've ever done, the Wrath pre-patch event, got revived, watered down, and filled with unnecessary farming grinds.

I wish they had made it more like the ptr. Just pure chaos for a few weeks, it would be hillarious, imagine the elite level ghouls wreaking havoc.

this reminds me of the blood plague incident way back when. i only heard about it in legends lol

Bruh.... The best thing i saw was the boss raid farm in ICC I saw one alliance player in an 40 man horde raid. He had World PVP on... 1000% OOF moment.

You should've come to Wyrmrest Accord for the event, you'dve had a real zombie invasion experience, because corpses littered the Trade and Cathedral Districts. Then there was Razor Hill and Goldshire, Razor Hill was mostly just NPCs but Goldshire was a slaughterhouse.
I can only imagine the carnage on Moon Guard, but I personally hopped on my hunter and got gripped onto a roof to go sniper mode on zombies running through Stormwind.

Living through this on Alliance Moonguard was a whole different experience. Nowhere in Elwynn was safe. Human starting area? Swarmed. Stormwind? Swarmed. Goldshire? A bunch of thots turned to cannibalism. It was wild

Not gonna lie... alliance deserved it

The PTR was amazing. Came right off Exile's Reach into Stormwind and was immediately killed then joined a zombie group that worked to get to Ironforge (which was hard since we couldn't take the DRT because it would remove the infection...)

lol this is around the time when I started playing WoW actually! I had never played it before and I kept getting zombified and was just confused as hell as to why. My buddy had to explain it was an event but I had no idea you all were intentionally getting yourselves infected to troll. I thought it was hilarious tbh that every time I stepped out of a building a zombie seemed to jump me. besides all I had to do was zombie boom myself and resurrect so no biggie but then again I didn't have any top tier gear or anything and didn't even know I could repair stuff... still think it was a lot of fun :)

She opened a gateway into the shadowlands for mortals to be brought through and captured faction leaders, allowing the PC to follow her into the shadowlands, disrupt the jailers plans, rescue their leaders, and generally screw every evil scheme the jailers been planning by allowing us to follow.

Why haven‘t you just waited on the entrance point between portalroom and those „new leveling experience users“ and burst them with those goos down

Literally nothing compared to the Wrath one. Wrath event was the best event WoW ever had. Can't believe there were as many crybabies as there was.

And the best thing about the Wrath one? It was unannounced, no testing or w/e, Blizzard just plopped a couple suspicious crates in Booty Bay and left it at that.

I think the belt had a 100% drop rate, I killed Patchwerk five times and have five belts

Tyranda is such a fucking badass ever since the ritual...and that low "for teldrisil" was perfect.

Wrath’s was better

Priests can cast Levitate onto themselves whilst falling. Without a friendly target, they automatically cast in on themselves. Since that priest disappeared from your line of sight before they hit the ground, I assume that they simply cast Levitate after you lost sight.

Also, your death knight is hideous as hell. That paint on his face makes his nose look like a giant potato.

my expectations for this event: oh boy it's gonna be cool to see azeroth in panic.
the reality: so where is the scourge? oh in goldshire, i see. go to goldshire, and there's only like 3 ghouls, all of them getting nuked by players.
well done blizz, an event that could be remembered for years was butchered as soon as it hit live servers, because of fear from the less than casual playerbase crying for 2 weeks.

I had fun, brought the infection to IC and infected the rare farming group.

Shame I missed Moonguard's Goldshire shit show being steamrolled because we had no massive zombie disaster like back in the day.

I infested all of the players who were waiting for the 34 slots bag. They could not loot the body and the chat went crazy.
I regret nothing.

Lets hope shadowlands will not be as shit as the pre-event.

I remember on the ptr I started hiding under one of the docks in SW to avoid the ghouls. Truly, fun has been detected.

It's a pretty lame experience, the zombies that spawn do nothing and everyone ignores them

On my server we had some pretty strong ghoul attacks at darkshire several days. The ghouls did feel like a threat to me, it was really hard to keep from being infected.

We grouped up to attack Goldshire on Argentdawn. That shit was great

I couldn't participate in this but man i still wish blizz werent so scared ti cause actual chaos. It's just for a week and the community will complain anyway, nothing to lose.

On my realm we spawn camp auctioneers in orgrimmar, now one could post anything or check their mail
