What a great guy, and what a wonderful family! I couldn’t be more proud if he were my own brother! Hope they are all well. Love that North Carolina accent!

As someone with severe chronic pain, I understand his pain. Being in severe pain will change you into a person you no longer recognise.

Also, our chronic pain is so connected to our emotional pain. I’m glad he chose to heal.

I completely understand where Greg's wife is coming from. My husband was on pain meds due to a back injury and also was depressed bc he couldn't work. He started on meth. Two months ago I found him facedown on the floor. And he wasn't breathing. He had accidentally taken meth that had fentanyl in it and died. I'm glad Greg is doing better.

One of the all time great episodes. I watched this in 2010 and haven’t stopped telling people about the insane and I’m a Psych Nurse!

Dude literally was hooked on scammers and opioids . His ability to live in denial is impressive

Classic case of opiates working better for emotional pain than psyical . His backs been healed for years, the pain is manifesting there from his inner pains.

Ответить
@gingyberrie
@gingyberrie - 05.03.2025 17:06

i know folks who’ve taken prescribed opioids for decades and are nothing remotely close to this guy . they have normal lives , the
problem with videos like this is people in the medical profession will see this and assume every person who takes opioids will turn out like this .. millions of people take these medications and live perfectly normal lives

Ответить

aww ok.. it’s the meff and cocaine that was making him act so weird.. nice vidya at demonizing opioid medications tho. did andrew kolodny pay you for this hacked up misdirection of a video?
why not say in the beginning of this video that he also uses meff and cocaine..? 🥴

Gambling is an interesting one, because it started happening before his injury and might be as difficult to manage as his other addictions. What's weird is how related to brain chemistry it can be. For example some Parkinson's medication can turn people into gamblers, the family are usually warned of this!

how is he even getting that much morphine? As a chronic pain patient for 10 years, you’d NEVER see me looking like this. Not only because I don’t want to, I couldn’t even if I did. I’d use a month script in days and then be in misery from pain and withdrawal side effects
