Mal: Anymore songs?
Paul: Oh, yeah. one of the most beautiful songs of all time
Magic
ОтветитьMal was aces. What a dude. Wishing I could have met him.
ОтветитьGenius! A magical minstrel. 🎹🎹🎹🎹👑
ОтветитьPaul worked like a dog. I imagine he still does.
ОтветитьMal was one of the very few who could walk among the band and talk to them while they were working. He played some simple things on a couple Beatles songs and is said to have helped with a (uncredited) lyric or two.
ОтветитьGeorge Martin was every bit as important as Mal was. Actually more. Martin was present for the first #1 single. Martin's classically trained ear was less about conceptual creation and more about adding the finishing touches. He took the semi complete product and gave it the detailed polish and shine. Martin added the string quartets, the swirly circus sounds, the trippy sound effects, and the symphony accompaniments. It wasn't until the Beatles evolved back to a more traditional rock n roll sound in the "Let it be" album that Martin saw a diminished contributing role. All after Beatle manager Epstein had died, and the newly formed Apple Corp. was changing the band's direction. By then, they were practically solo artists anyway.
ОтветитьUnreal the job Mal had. Hearing genius at work. It is mind boggling
Ответить❤
ОтветитьToo bad Mal was never credited on the projects he contributed, earning a measly wage, dying a pauper…So much for the myth of the Beatles being so generous and kind…
ОтветитьThe effortless genius
ОтветитьMal had a kind face
ОтветитьPaul and Ringo doing what they know best
ОтветитьOh Mal...
ОтветитьJust great to watch a master at work thanks for the video il faro26
Ответитьthats what genius level is.
ОтветитьNow i sing “The 2nd verse I haven’t got yet……”
ОтветитьMal Evans - The real fifth Beatle.
ОтветитьThe look on Linda's face at the end. Pure love and amazement.
ОтветитьI don't know what's more intriguing: hearing a song I've heard hundred of times in my life in its building block stages with my mind filling in the blanks during the unformed 2nd verse, or Paul saying he's never seen The Wizard of Oz.
ОтветитьI could never get weary of the composition of this song 🎵 it's magical by Paul McCartney
ОтветитьCasually just banging out a masterwork
ОтветитьI think Billi Shears did a good job!
ОтветитьMal tell glyn to not add an orchestral arrangement
ОтветитьPure musical genius , the music just magically flows out of him
ОтветитьGenius. We are lucky to have him in our lifetime
ОтветитьI love how Mal is so entranced all the time. He knows the kind of genius that is playing out before his eyes. He knows he is witnessing history in the making, and wants to let every sweet second in.
Ответитьamazing
Ответитьa historical document showing a genius at work.
ОтветитьMcCartney was at his peak during this album. Wish we had seen John at his peak, think this was a particularly bad time in his life. A peppers documentary would have been great.
ОтветитьLinda Esstman was beautiful
ОтветитьI loved the relationship Mal had with each Beatle. Dude was a mate who was ready to help with anything. I also like the convo here with Paul
ОтветитьMore songs??? and...
ОтветитьPaul was a magician. Plain and simple, he just touch a piano, bass, or guitar and the most beautiful music just poured out. To see someone so beyond talented create masterpieces on this documentary is what I imagine it must have been like to see da Vinci sketch, or Raphael paint.
Ответитьwho is the girl?
ОтветитьIncredible that there is film footage of McCartney playing this wonderful song for the first time.
ОтветитьPaul never seen "The Wizard of Oz"? Wow, Hopefully by now he seen it.
ОтветитьThis Get Back docu was like opening up a treasure chest full of golden nuggets!
