How far is stage 16 from Blondie Street
ОтветитьMaybe one of these days I will be able to see this place. Looks like an adventure.
ОтветитьSo freaking cool.
ОтветитьHow far is this sound stage from the Christmas vacation house and stage 31 32 and 33 and are all the sound stages same width and length
The Christmas vacation pool do they use it for employees to swim in it looks like it's maintained
Is Stage 16 where they filmed the grotto/One-Eyed Willie’s ship (the Inferno) scene from The Goonies?? I read that once they finally wrapped up filming that entire scene, they had to dismantle EVERYTHING on set … including that AMAZING pirate ship display, which caused Richard Donner & the rest of the set design crew to get all emotional… 😢 (supposedly Donner himself wanted to keep that massive ship display as a souvenir, and planned to put it in his backyard, lol)
ОтветитьA huge model of Hollywood Blvd was built here for the movie 1941 for the plane flying down the middle of the street.
ОтветитьI was a Studio Electrician on The Heretic The Exorcist Part 2 and we shot in Stage 16. They built a African Village type set and it was amazing. Used more lights in one stage than had ever been used before. Had to bring electricity from the next door stage to support all the arc and 10k lights.
ОтветитьForgot one of the greatest scenes ever, the t-Rex breakout from Jurassic Park
Ответить🎥🎬📣⛲⛲👯♀️👯♀️👯♀️⛲⛲
Ответитьthat was cool now I know they make movie
ОтветитьLandfills in California, being kept busy, from Hollywood.
ОтветитьCan you show us Stage 12 of Scooby-Doo?
ОтветитьWhat about acoustics inside? Is there any sound proofing or treatment for walls or floor ?
Ответитьamazing love it
ОтветитьVery common to raise building that way you can literally move a 2 story brick home miles away to another property

ОтветитьI always wanted to work at Warner bros I have wanting to animate eventually I do animation when I am board at school I am in 9th grade I take media classes I am the lead person I work with older kids while the other freshman are still learning and I hang around in the editors room cussing at each other ideas but I love what I do for that class I have field experience while the other freshman doesn’t I get pulled from class to film
ОтветитьJurassic Park Museum set (inside) was built there which we saw in the movie in the beginning and at the end
ОтветитьBoggles the mind how they create these epic films inside this set. Is it still a working stage?
ОтветитьFascinating
ОтветитьMary Ellen Walton sent me here.
ОтветитьOutstanding that was incredible
ОтветитьVery cool!
ОтветитьI used to be a store manager at a Warner Bros Studio Store in the late 90's and our yearly conferences were held in LA and I was lucky enough to be there on the Mr. Freeze set. The floor was covered not with ice but with flooring covered to look like shining ice.
ОтветитьWow how cool is this area for filming, so awesome 👍
ОтветитьThis is one of the greatest tales of Hollywood narcism EVER!!!
Ответитьhello algorithm friends
ОтветитьHollywood sucks.
ОтветитьHollywood and their commie agenda needs to be boycotted.
ОтветитьNo on location filming
ОтветитьThe video neglects to mention that there was no safe way to remove those railroad ties after the new lower walls had been built, so huge blocks of ice were wedged under the bottom of the old walls and allowed to melt which lowered the stage slowly onto the new base.
He also fails to point out that the stage's new height put far more strain on the new base than the lot's other stages. They didn't want to build thicker walls to support the old stage, so a series of buttresses -- steel beams encased in masonry -- were erected to restrain the outward pressure, giving the stage its unique appearance (Warner's frequently used its distinctive look in films to double everything from prison walls to railway tunnels). The only other stage in the world (as far as I know) to also be supported by a series of buttresses (of a completely different design) is the even bigger third 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios outside London.
Not quite the tallest stage if you consider height above floor. The high side of Stage 27 at Sony Pictures is 80' to the perms (low side is 50'). Stage 6 was also 80' to the perms when it was being used as a stage. Sony's Stage 15 has right around 42,000 sq. ft. of space
ОтветитьPaul blart?
ОтветитьI would give anything for a vip studio tour right now. Great video thank you for posting
ОтветитьNo way! The Chickie Run in Rebel Without a Cause was filmed in a sound stage!!!
ОтветитьTHIS IS SO FREAKING FASCINATING WOAH MY GOD
ОтветитьNow they would have to clear raising the building through greedy investors (loan sharks). It would never get done.
ОтветитьMore! More! More! More!!!
ОтветитьWB was my stomping ground. Love that lot
ОтветитьThis is so awesome! I'd love to visit someday!
ОтветитьRelease the uncut director’s version of Ken Russell’s The Devils.
ОтветитьThe T Rex attack from Jurassic Park was also shot here
ОтветитьThe Goonies!!!! 👏🏽👏🏽😊
