PATIENT ZERO - A Half-Life Short [S2FM]

Creating the vocoder dialogue sound design was an absolute blast! I had so much fun while working and fine tuning them. I'm so blown away by this short. Honored to be a part of this tbh! :D

Astounding work! The short had me hooked from start to finish, extemelly good lighting, lots of custom props and details, actual gore, superb character animation.
What a masterpiece! This is the kind of animations a hope I can make some day. I would love to see a brakdown on how you did the models like the blasted corpses or the holes in the wall for example. For real, I stopped the video at some scenes just to appreciate the level of detail in the animation.

HL2 is one of my favorite games of all time. Even two decades later, the A.I. set-pieces, characters, sound design, level design, weapons...it's just perfectilon given form. It kills me that we never got to find out how it ends...

Holy shit this was genuinely impressive to watch! Absolutely gobsmacked at the visuals and storytelling. Really hope to see more.

Man I love your sfm stuff. It's got this real-world gritttiness to it that just fits so perfectly with half life. The shot composition is so visually striking while still feeling completely candid (I really liked your use of center framing) and the action, particularly the deaths, are so quick and unceremonious that after killing thousands of combine playing hl2, it kinda slapped me in the face with the notion that I am in fact, NOT Gordon Freeman, and that I wouldn't last a second gainst the Combine. Genuinely hope you keep making these. I feel like it's doing for Half Life what Astartes did for 40k

I like how all the videos connect. The rebel with the slugs killed a big guy here, and a wallhammer later on (which did end costing him his life)

Anyways, I saw the Tau-canon module on top of the combat shotgun discussed in RescoeZ's combine breakdown videos, but I wasn't sure what it was really meant to be, since the Half-life tau cannon looks very different. It's certainly impressive here, but I'm curious, is there footage of how it might have been meant to work in-game?

I used to root for the rebels. But recently, seeing more and more people root for the Combine. I am too. It shows how fucked society is with thought process.

To put things in perspective, a single soldier killed 3 rebels in under 20 seconds. Holy crap. It highlights just how short and brutal combat with the combine is.

Patient 0 is badass

This is fucking astonishing quality for a fan made movie. Seriously, this is seriously high quality, and I don't mean the animation and graphics only. I mean the editing, voice acting, sound design, cinematography, lighting. This is seriously fucking good.
