Always amazed how history is revised. Bill Clinton only won his first election because Ross Perot hated Bush and ran for President, otherwise Bush would have won a second term. Clinton immediately went far left and became very unpopular his first 2 years and effectively allowed Gingrich implement “the contract with America”, during his 3rd and 4th year. Its success brought Clinton back into enough favor to win a second term.
