Tip: Instead of touching near the wound to see if its dried, touch some to the back of your hand on the glove and test that area not the wound 😜

I’ve used this once on a cut on my finger and it didn’t work at all. Blood was leaking from under it and the glue all fell off before I left the hospital.

Great idea, unfortunately we found out my wife is terribly allergic to it. Nothing like having hives and irritation at your incisions after surgery.

I prefer this method over stitches. Leaves way less of a scar. Heals wonderfully. Some surgeons will batch you when you with their needle work😩

I use Loctite, clean the cut with soap and water a spritz of disinfectant then Loctite. I keep an eye out for excessive redness or swelling and go to urgent care if needed.

Sliced my hand open at work and got it glued like this. The glue startes coming off after a day. Don't know why dr thought it would work on the inside of the palm where I sweat the most. I ended up just using tape and bandaids from the pharmacy until it healed.

For most major surgeries they’ll suture then apply the Dermabond on top as a final securement. They also can use steroid strips and mastisol which is far cheaper. They have a special orthopedic version of the Dermabond pen that comes with tape and it’s very strong.

I make this glue! Possibly not that product type but this is octyl cyanoacrylate, a biocompatible, low toxicity “super glue”. Regular super glue is ethyl cyanoacrylate and may or may not have additives to enhance its properties.

Glue in place of sutures or staples only works in areas where there is limited skin stretching. So thick areas much like the back can become problematic. Also only helpful qith smaller insicions than that, that exceeds a 3 inch length.

My kids had a gerbil which once was "slit open" by a cat's claw (at least that was our explanation). I used nail glue to close the wound and mouse Felix survived and got older than the average gerbil :-D

When I was under 10 I ended up with a laceration wound on right sqaure on top of my head.. Doctor decided it wasn't bad enough for stitches so he had used this "magic glue" substance on it and somehow a minute later everything was back to normal. To this day I have wondered how it even worked and what it was.. this was very helpful!
