ОтветитьI finally got the bread recipe to work out, it took roughly 5 attempts but my mom and I got it figured out…
I had to increase the amount of yeast to 4 teaspoons because of where I live in Canada, mom said that the amount of yeast put into any recipe depends on where you are above sea level or something like that….
One loaf lasts my roommate and I about 3 or 4 days, then I have to make another loaf. They are also getting to be easy to make as well, which is what I was looking for in a bread recipe.
I use to make an Amish Friendship loaf bread, but that required a starter and I kept running out of room for the loaves of bread afterward….
So stopped making them, but still kept looking for a bread recipe that I could easily use to replace the Amish one.
I am glad I found this one, although I am thinking of making some slight changes like adding some dried cranberries or a few nuts or something to see how that tastes.

Yours popped up again bc I searching YT. For quick bread recipe. Love soup too but black beans. They are what Satan and Lucifer eat. So the soup is wholly a no from me. Like Simon Cowell 😢 Refried beans is something cats cough up when they get sick. Soup needs to whole and not blended unless it's tomato soup.
Omg I made this but added 1 Tbsp of sugar. It was almost gone 15 minutes after I took it out of the oven. We love it and thank you so much for sharing this recipe ! We will definitely be making it over and over again ! Love from the Allen family !

ОтветитьI go back to this recipe all the time. If anyone watching ever has trouble getting bread to rise, I heard of a tip that never fails me.
Start your clothes dryer and let it run for about 5 or so minutes. Turn it off. Put your covered bowl of bread in the dryer and leave it there to rise. It is the perfect environment of slightly warm and humid.

ОтветитьLooks like bread served in Germany. They had smaller versions of this also that were used as rolls and buns for bratwurst and such. I could be wrong but I think the harder crust allows this bread to be stored longer without getting moldy, etc. At least until you cut into it.

Would be so easy to take this bread to a more nutrtious level .
SIMPLY put the dough into the fridge overnight and bake the next day . (everyday start the next days loaf BUT bake the loaf from the day before)

ОтветитьBingo! From S Africa and tried this with both white bread wheat flour and brown bread wheat flour. Both a great success. Easiest bread I've baked and I am no real bread baker (wish I was). Great tasting and unbelievably easy. Made many potjiekos pots of food (You call them Dutch ovens) over the years and always wanted to bake bread in one. Thanks!
