Hi! Planning to go on March-April 2024 to see the cherry blossoms with my mom. What's the best yet affordable area to stay for food and sightseeing with a bit of shopping (not priority)? I'm considering Asakusa, Nihonbashi and Ueno but are there other areas to check out? 😊
I doubt my mom would enjoy the touristy Shibuya or Shinjuku area haha! So I'm looking for an area where there are local food stores and cafes around and a nearby train station 😊

Excellent video with really valuable information 👏 We are a middle-aged couple visiting Tokyo for the first time in January 2024, and then maybe 2 nights in Fujisan (Mt Fuji) at the tail-end before heading back to Narita Airport. Which area in Tokyo do you suggest we stay given our itinerary, given a low to mid-range budget? 🤓
