I heard they changed the way the grow oats the last few years and they are toxic now? They spray them so the plant doesn't grow so tall.

DR. Esselstyn does not recommend calcium supplements. Whoever made this video added incorrect information to it.

Please do not take this in the wrong manner. I completely follow and eat the way I eat because of Dr. Esselstyn for over 10 years now. Strictly. I am just very surprised to see the choice of plantbased milk is oat milk, being all oat milk I have seen has oil in it. Can you please give an explanation of why that is the choice of plantbased milk knowing oil as one of the main rules is a no, no? Love everything you do here and again it is Dr. Esselstyn that has showed me the way.

I'm a big fan of your channel and Dr Esselstyn.I recently came up with a very simple oat recipe. Heat half a cup of rolled oats without any water or liquid in the microwave for a minute. Then mix in a handful of raisins into this hot and dry rolled oats. It tastes great. Simple and quick to make. Not sure if others would like this hot and dry oats dessert.

Dr. Greger posted a video recently outlining the danger of eating a banana with the berries at breakfast as it destroys some of the nutrients in the berries.

Hi,
I love watching your videos. We are using your cookbook and the recipes are great! One question we have is: Are the Quick One Minute Oats okay to use or does it have to be Old fashioned or Steel Cut oats?

Thanks

Please don’t forget: They need to be organic because oats are sprayed with glyphosate to dry them out just before harvest.

I have been eating raw oatmeal for 20 plus years and when I do not have almond milk unsweetened I would just Use cold water with mixed in fruit. I love it

I wish I caught onto this trick earlier, I started eating oats this way a month ago and it is amazing.

My husband followed suit and he cut down eating eggs for breakfast tremendously, he loves it too.

I have no desire to go back to cooked oatmeal. Sometimes I have another bowl after dinner, its that good. I like adding cinnamon, turmeric and always frozen blueberries and I use either organic soy or oat milk. It is absolutely amazing.

I’m very excited. My brother and I ate tons of them as children and lost track of them. Now older and plant based I’ve been eating a lot of fruit. Now I’m realizing too much. I’m gonna replace half of them with OATMEAL and my daily blueberries. Such a beautiful, wise and kind family. Blessings to you all

Question? Since oat milk is processed in such a way to make oats, that are not sweet, have 17 grams of sugar per serving, I cannot see that oat milk as healthy unless you made it at home from oats.

If he is eating oats several times a day he is getting way more fat than they probably realize. Oats have 14% fat compared to brown rice at 6% and sweet potatoes at 0%.
