Rice helps in many health problems. For example, if you have heel spurs:
In the evening, put about 3-4 tablespoons of rice in a small saucepan with water. About enough water to cover the rice. Nothing else. In the morning, cook the rice with the same water without fat and salt. But be careful when cooking. Otherwise the rice will burn. Eat this rice every morning on an empty stomach for 30 days. Wait about 15 minutes afterward before drinking or eating something. In this way, the rice draws salt out of your body and thus the lime deposits that cause the pain. Even after 2 weeks you will notice that the pain has almost disappeared.

What is the probiotic he mentioned?? Not L. Reuteri, is it? Dr. William Davis talks about it too! Or is it butyrate? Ashort chain fatty acid?

Thank you, will try this.

Refrigerating cooked rice for 12-24 hours reduces its glycemic index, promoting insulin sensitivity and gut health. This process creates resistant starch, which acts as a prebiotic, feeding probiotics and potentially preventing colon cancer. Portion control remains crucial, especially for those pre-diabetic or insulin resistant.

So meal planing will do wounders for me. All I have been eating has been chicken rice and broccoli. I been looking for ways to take it to the next level. Looks like this will do well.

Dr Mandell, a question on beans and lentils also have starch. After we cook, refrigerate like rice for a day, will beans also turn into resistant starch and prebiotics. Is it ok to eat cook beans, refrigerate then heat up before eating. will this beans cause flatulence. Thank you

I can't believe you're talking about white rice. Just eat brown rice and the blood sugar doesn't spike up nearly as fast. Also we can sprout many grains, peas, beans and lentils. NEVER consume refined carbs like white rice/bread/pasta. Just use the whole grain versions of these products. And think of all the beans, peas and lentils and even grains that we can't even buy refined. So they're 100% fine.

Isn't there a mould issue when rice is refrigerated? I've heard that cooked rice is one of the worst things to keep in the fridge as mould starts to form straight away.

I had some precooked and frozen rice the other day. When I heated it up the grains remained quite hard but not unpalatable in a curry. I routinely keep a spare loaf of bread in the freezer too even though Sheldon Cooper said not to. :)

People who eat rice with oil -cooked dishes all three meals a day are fit, have gorgeous skin gorgeous hair and are extremely fertile and energetic. Americans eat body parts all three meals a day including pasteurized body fat (butter and lard) which is why they're fat and lazy and don't have the biological urge to reproduce.

I just started watching your videos. Yes I know your studies were done years ago. But coming from a Puerto Rican neighborhood, they always washed (rinsed) their rice 3 to 4 times (until water came somewhat clear then drained) before cooking, this done to rinse off the starch. We then cooked. My question is...Did you ever wash/rinse your rice then test? Oh I am also type 2 diabetic.
