Rice helps in many health problems. For example, if you have heel spurs:
In the evening, put about 3-4 tablespoons of rice in a small saucepan with water. About enough water to cover the rice. Nothing else. ОтветитьDr Mandell, a question on beans and lentils also have starch. After we cook, refrigerate like rice for a day, will beans also turn into resistant starch and prebiotics. Is it ok to eat cook beans, refrigerate then heat up before eating. will this beans cause flatulence. Thank you

ОтветитьI can't believe you're talking about white rice. Just eat brown rice and the blood sugar doesn't spike up nearly as fast. Also we can sprout many grains, peas, beans and lentils. NEVER consume refined carbs like white rice/bread/pasta. Just use the whole grain versions of these products. And think of all the beans, peas and lentils and even grains that we can't even buy refined. So they're 100% fine.

ОтветитьI had some precooked and frozen rice the other day. When I heated it up the grains remained quite hard but not unpalatable in a curry. I routinely keep a spare loaf of bread in the freezer too even though Sheldon Cooper said not to. :)

Americans eat body parts all three meals a day including pasteurized body fat (butter and lard) which is why they're fat and lazy and don't have the biological urge to reproduce.

But coming from a Puerto Rican neighborhood, they always washed (rinsed) their rice 3 to 4 times (until water came somewhat clear then drained) before cooking, this done to rinse off the starch. We then cooked. My question is...Did you ever wash/rinse your rice then test? Oh I am also type 2 diabetic.
