Dear Jamie Dingledine: Thank you for uploading two of my favorite Carl Wilson songs that he did with the Beach  Boys, The Trader and Funky Pretty. He did have the voice of angel. May he RIP. It is well-known that his brother, Brian, misses him so much.

"Holland" is, by far, the Beach Boys' most under-rated album!  And "Funky Pretty" must be, and deservedly so, its most over-looked song!  Very "out-there" to be sure, but quite catchy, don't you think?

Great video!!! Great song. I also love the live version on the In Concert album. I love the Beach Boys ... 1970 to 1973 was a great run.....my favorite Beach Boys albums!

Well I have this album,played it 1 a hundred # times. I think Funky Pretty is as good as anything that was playing on the radio at that time. This song wasn't played on the radio and it frustrated me that the BB's faded into oblivion. I read all these positive comments now and wonder why the BB's fell off the radar in the early 70's

Love this album and song.

This is one of the Great Open Secrets of music. Wonderful and mature songwriting, arranging, performing. This is the Beach Boys' "Sergeant Pepper" in creative achievement IMO.

Carl was really the Glue that held the Beach Boys together post Brians breakdown and their fathers selling their songs out from under them. This song was better in concert and on their Beach Boys LIVE in CONCERT double lp. The red cover one. Enjoy it.

I got this album for Christmas of '78. I wanted The Beach Boys with the striped shirts, but daddy bought me this one. I had a big issue with my Beach Boys having beards! "The Beard Boys." I had a big problem with that at 4 years old, but I got over it. Turns out daddy made a fantastic decision! What an awesome fricking album! Blondie is a legit Beach Boy in the greatest way! Surf meets progressive rock!!! Masterpiece!
