Thank you Thomas for the tips.
ОтветитьYou definitely don’t know what saddle stitch is
ОтветитьHi Thomas, thanks for tips for us noobies :)!
Which brand are the needles you're using and where can we buy them?
this is a double hand stitching and it is ok but nowhere near to real saddle stitching ... no cast or looping and no tension control whatsoever... good enough for round punch holes but diamonds holes should look slanted with the proper technique and french style is for very neat high end look ... 0.8 mm thread is good for big rugged vintage items but for wallets or small goods 0.55/0.65 look a lot better if you are using diamonds or french irons. For smaller items like watch straps, glasses case, etc., 0.45 or 0.35 is the way in my opinion. Of course it depends on the looks you are looking for and the design but please don't call it saddle stitch because it is not... 😉🙏
ОтветитьДякую друже!)
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your skill to help others ❤
ОтветитьTnx!!!
ОтветитьHi) personally i really like to use 0.6 braided thread. Doesnt make the fluffy part near the needle at evitates the situations when you pierce the thread with the second needle while stitching
ОтветитьStitching very small items like that without a pony is easy. Try doing a duffle bag by hand.
What size needles?
ОтветитьSir
Whare you buy tockenole
Thank you so much 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Excellent!!
ОтветитьHey STR I'm a big fan of your work and videos. I have been doing leather craft for 4 years now as a hobby mostly designing new things to make for family and myself. So to get to the point I watched this video a week ago and I noticed that we use the same needle and the same thread. Except I only put mine through the thread one time and you go through it twice, and either way they both slip and end up on the eyelet of the needle. I just figured out how to make the knot not slide up and lock in place.
