I'm glad they did ! Years ago I had the Fz40 and complained about the LCD having yellow tinting on the corners. After sending the camera back and forth numerous times, they began to to notice it was a product assembly issue with the glass or plastic cover being pressed to hard against the LCD. After that they decided to send me the Fz100 as a replacement. Although I was very mad at them , they came through and assisted me quite well :)

Told you their service was great. Amongst the 'big boys' they set the standards for many others to follow...for both products & service. But even the best need a little nudge sometimes!!

One never takes anything such as this without a rather big fight ( nicely done of course ) One issue is that Panasonic Europe is all sorts to so many items ,I have to say the Hamburg folk are amazing .One point is which part of where ( so to speak ) is responsable  for which items of hardware Never mind goes to show Communication is the name of the game :-) Have a happy weekend ,

Excellent Graham! It's nice to know that they've noticed you and that you have a little clout. I wasn't the guy who pushed the button to get things done but big thumbs up to him/her.

I really appreciate your efforts with these Panny mega zooms. It has  been a great help to my wife with her older fz40.

Whether my two emails to Panasonic helped I'll never know Graham, but  I'm glad they have come to their sense.

Good on ya Graham! Exactly my thoughts, "customer service", where has it gone? Store owners complaining sales are down due to online shopping. Maybe bricks and mortar businesses need to hire the right people or amend their customer service policies to win back clients. Keep up the good work mate :)

I sent you a copy of the "note" I sent to Panasonic USA cc to UK and directed them to your video and made them aware of your good work with  there products, mentioning that your videos are seen world wide and you actually had more subscribers than Panasonic UK, and that they might want to contact there counter parts in the UK EU.

Great result Graham. I had to take my Lumix TZ30 with lens jam to DK AVS back in August 2013. It was under warranty. I live about an hours drive from DK AVS so took the camera in person. DK AVS fixed the camera within 2 hours of receipt and I had an email confirming ready collection.
Hopefully you will have a fast turnaround.

Great news Graham, glad to see Panasonic came to their senses. Does this mean the Panasonic Tz 60 is back on your shopping list ??? `hope so as i`m looking to purchase this camera & without your great tutorials...well I dread to think lol

I emailed the US and sent them a link to your video, told them to show it to their 'people' plus mentioned that your manual was better than theirs : )  Guess they were bombarded by us all.

excellent. i can understand their reluctance to start handing parts out, i guess, but it's a shame they didn't offer the FoC thing at the outset - wouldn't have taken a lot to quickly pop on the net to verify who you were and the respect you're given and know that you're genuine and not someone after freebies. anyways, props to Panasonic for actually doing it, and well done to all who took up the cause!

I was expecting to see your evaluation on the forthcoming TZ60 model and when you commented about ending your relationship with Panasonic cameras due to the FZ200 incident I was really, really upset.
But now, I'm keeping an eye on your reviews to know all about the TZ60, Houghton style!

Nice work. The power of the network is pretty amazing. I have a philosophy of giving anyone ONE chance to politely make things right, then I start getting prickly. I'm sure that if the first person you contacted had googled your name they would have changed their tune, but no one should have to be a super star like Graham to get good customer service. 
By the way, I noticed one of your cameras on the desk has the same LED video light I use. I removed the plastic lens and placed a piece of parchment paper on mine to soften the light and I like it much better.
