For those who haven't played EVE, I recently returned to tranquility after AFK for 2 years, and my Apple watch have been telling me that for the past month, my heart rate at rest elevated by 10 bpm! 13 years into this game and my heart races every time I engage in solo or small group pvp fights.

It's been 8 years, and I keep coming back, my wife's complaining that she literally recites the scripts and bgm

Really? this is how it is? I'm in fleet with 6 miners for two days, not moving not even talking, mining moon rock, Yup, that is the real Eve.

I really enjoyed Eve for a long time and this video is just legendary.
However, I'm not one of those people who play like that. I have always been a HighSec miner. With a few friends, it didn't exactly bring enormous wealth, but it was fun. From time to time we flew a mission together. So more PVE than PVP-heavy play.
However, a few years ago the self-appointed moral guardians emerged. They said all HighSec miners were lazy "afk" types and made life hell. The nerve of Concorde was finally too much and made me stop playing.

Me in command.. "Open fire.. Maximum prejudice. Torpedoes. Maximum yield." a reply of "SIR! YES SIR!" resounding throughout. I am the master tactician and strategist. Always have been.

I played EVE for years I was not interested in PvP (old fart gets his butt kicked), mining, high security hauling ect. I kept getting attacked and losing valuable ships, I PAY to have fun, that was not fun. EVE spends tons of time making things look pretty but not fixing the Game.

I tried EVE but couldn't hack it in the game. But I've watched this trailer off and on at random since it released 8 years ago because it's that fucking good. Everyone says it's amazing because it's so EVE - this trailer is excellent because it perfectly encapsulates why games are so great. The stories we get out of them with our fellow players are what make games so connective, and so addictive. Finding that community, setting up a surprise attack, overcoming the odds... those moments are shared across games of all types. This trailer captures it so well with the player comms, the music, and the on-screen action.
