I discovered Christina a few years before this happened. I was going through a really rough patch in life when I discovered her. Her voice reminded me that there's many beautiful things in life worth living for, such as listening to such a beautiful and beautiful-voiced woman. I listened to her nearly every day. One of my favorite songs to this day is the duet she did with Sam of Usher's "Just A Dream". When I found out she was shot, I was beside myself... as if I was reliving a loss (not a death) from the past. I resented the shooter beyond what was healthy and when I heard he shot himself on site, I thought "good, coward" (to be "kind").

This case is so heartbreaking and frustrating. I can't even imagine how much pain the sweet little girl endured whilst she was assaulted. What is seriously wrong with some people. They really have no brain, no heart, no humanity, and no compassion for what happened to the girl and the way her poor mother is being treated. The scumbags that said the girl deserved to be assaulted and her mother also deserves to be assaulted are sick and evil in the head. Disgusting and despicable. Thr mother crying her heart out gives me so much pain. Her eyes will never be dry because no one cares to help her get any justice. That peodo monster and his witch wife should be locked up forever. With the mentality, they have no child can be safe. R.I.P to the sweet girl. My heart goes out to her mother, i hope she gets justice sooner than later.

Every time I'm getting more close to a friend or even a loved one, it is always and forever the hardest thing to talk about. Sometimes I only talk about Christina's inspiration to me and leave the tragedy part.
For those who think why this man wanted to kill her even thought he claimed to love her, is because he maybe wanted her soul because deep down he understood that they will not be together in real life. And it seemed that killing himself was his plan so that he can go with her. Shortly the word is "soul hunter".

Its not called love. Its called sociopathy combined with an extreme amount of limerance. You can't love someone you don't KNOW. Limerance are dellusions that the crazy person imagines is reality. They believe they have a relationship, when they don't.

I faintly recall that she died many years ago, but it's so conpletely insane to me what really happened after I looked into it further, even before just now watching this video. Really awful and sad to die so young in such a violent way. RIP Christina

it's such a strange feeling knowing that i was younger than christina, but now i'm older than she'll ever be. rest in peace christina, you were a huge part of so many people's childhood.

but what can you do when you see an adult with mental health issues like this? What steps can be taken to get them without seeming intrusive?

i will never ever forget christina. i watched her videos for years as a kid and it broke my heart when i found out she died in MY CITY :-( i think party in the usa video is the one i found her on too

Heartbreak of an obssesive fan, yikes. Lost of words from her tragic death. This is a sign to myself to a very similar situation I have been in for the past couple of years now. Respect to the Grimmie family & being in the music industry is very difficult & most importantly enough to build carefully. Peace & Blessings

Pity is a disease.

We hear several times in this video that "To this day no one knows for sure what motivated Kevin". Maybe it can't be proven, but to me it's clear enough what drove him. His life and everything in it had absolutely no value to him. It was bleak and empty and utterly devoid of love or purpose. Until... he stumbled on Christina online and it suddenly felt like life might have at least one thing that made it worth living. She represented a possible lifeline to a universe that otherwise felt inhospitable to him. So he claimed this precious unexpected gift in his imagination and prepared to join her by transforming himself into "the best man he could be" in order to attract her and deserve her (weight loss, exercise, diet, cosmetic care, etc).

But then comes the devastating news that she has a boyfriend! His low self esteem guaranteed that he couldn't see himself as a successful rival for her affection against a man who matched her in talent and success. Her "boyfriend slot" was occupied - the door to her heart slammed shut in his face - or so he was convinced. He told himself that if he couldn't have her in this life, he might still have a chance with her in the next. (Apparently he had converted to Christianity during these months in his effort to be more compatible with her, so heaven was a reality in his world view. He'd deliver her into this afterlife and quickly join her there. This was mixed with spite and anger, I'm sure. He felt betrayed! How dare she be so disloyal to her future husband! And he’d show the world that, if he couldn’t have her, no one could!)

Christina was so beautiful BUT the one thing I always have in the back of my mind that I'll one day tell my own son when it comes to love is that if someone truly loves you they wouldn't hurt you. What Kevin did was NOT love.

I always found her death extremely odd. First of, in one of her last videos she mentioned something about quitting the industry because she didn't want to "sell her soul," then the last event where she was shot was called "Before you exit." Back in the day it was crazy to think about it, but now that we know the Satanism that runs in Hollywood, is it crazy to think that it wasn't just some random fan, but maybe a premeditated ritualistic killing?! She was not ashamed of her Christian faith, which would make her a target for the elite. Especially if she refused them.

I do not condone what that scumbag did to Christina, but let's look at the bright side: she didn't see no talent hacks like Cardi B, Lil Pump and Sexyy Red, didn't shot videos on TikTok which shortens attention spans and didn't see society going downfall.

I can't believe someone would do such a thing to this young beautiful woman. The venue could've at least waited until after the show. To fire all of the general mgmt. Maybe this would not have happened.

More security at venues

There are nothing so good it isnt also bad for something, and the other way around. The USA has the most crazy idea of guns, this is good for somethings, and super bad for other things. The point of allowing people to have guns, is so they can fight back in case the system goes mental and do very bad things. But these guns could very easy be at home in a gun safe, there are no reason what so ever to run around with a gun in public. It only make everyone more trigger happy, the cops included. Also, i see the lame idea that people in the USA say its for protection, like people would say, if a gas station has an AR15, its less likely to get robbed. i really dont believe this, because if a gas station has an AR15, the robbers will just bring 2 AR15's. You cant control if people fight and do bad things, but you can control what they fight with. If guns were not allowed in public, people with fight with knifes and things like that, still deadly, but alot easyer to run away from then a bulllet. I am happy i dont live in the USA, what a hell hole that has become over the time.

It’s heartbreaking I wish I could have known her when she was alive but I am lucky to be able to hear her music now. R.I.P. Christina you beautiful sweet soul she hugged her killer to make it less awkward that just shows how kind and loving she really was.
