My 1984 third-get Camaro is a nice looking car. After fixing up the interior, the engine compartment of the old L69 305 was still really sad and grungy looking. I spent around $400 and a lot of elbow grease, but now I'm not embarrassed to open the hood at a car cruise! This is an easy upgrade anyone can do.

Upgrades include:
New Edelbrock EPS Aluminum Intake
New 180 degree thermostat
New Summit HEI distributor (removed factory ECM and Harness)
New valve cover gaskets
New water pump
New air cleaner
New fan temp sensor - 200 on/185 off
Replaced radio antenna

Tony Im surprised and curious why you wanted to remove the computer? It is cool dont get me wrong but wondering why? Im so inpspired by your projects! On My 92 camaro, the ECM controls the cooling fan on/off so It it would be a hack of some kind on the wiring harness for me to change that out. I did indeed learn how to program the ECM with freeware TunerPRO off of the internet! It was cool to learn about - UltraViolet light to erase the chip! With tunerPRO I made a back up of the original prom and then erased the prom with light, used TunerPro to set fan on temp at 190°. It was as cool learning that as replacing the ECM! Its funny on the red paint, I found out the same thing - that - Ace Banner Red matches almost exact. Anyway thanks for your Camaro and all Updates!

The fish-eyes you are getting with everything are probably because things aren't clean enough and from the mineral spirits residue. Something greasy like that I would use some lacquer thinner or acetone or brake cleaner or something harsh like that. Then once all the grease is gone and it looks clean it's not, you need to clean off the residue from the cleaners with something like Sprayway glass cleaner, wax and grease remover, or my favorite, Ivory soap and water. Then once it's clean with that I will do one quick wipe down with just clean water. Sounds like a lot but I have been doing it for over 10 years now and have no problems. Ivory soap and bottled water will last a long time and is very inexpensive for how long it lasts. Can't stress it enough how the most important thing is to have a clean base. Love the Camaro by the way and keep up the awesome videos!
