So this is what XQC was talking about
ОтветитьI am not the mind, I am not the body
ОтветитьWent mining for copper, found a gem ❤
ОтветитьNew ship, old ship .. WTF is a SHIP ? ∞
ОтветитьI think the proposition of neither ship being the original (for the final paradox) is good, as I think there is a difference between the ships being 'replaced' as it was to keep essentially the original purpose/identity going. So essentially drawing from the Hobbes view you talked about in that regard. Anyways this difference Im mentioning is that the final paradox is seemingly more about deconstructing and reconstructing copies. I feel like in the deconstruction the original in some sense loses its 'originality'. Good video :)
Ответитьfix your mic (use less bass boost)
ОтветитьGood video presentation, TY for the upload. I would say the use and function of a ship gives it its identity. Because if one nail is replaced in a plank the ship. is not the original.

ОтветитьThe solution is :
The fallacy is thinking that a "Ship is nothing but the physical matter"
Ship must provide the service ships are supposed to in that sense every ship is thr same ship and the only differenciating factory is your association with ship "it's my uncle's "! Or "it has a big piano too".
Ship is actually the configuration (information) the arrangement of the wooden planks , hull design etc
In future if we discover new exotic material that is indistinguishable from wood but much cheaper and we created ship using that then it would be the same Ship as original ship of Theseus.
