if you ever do this run again, i have a tip for the Eater of Worlds: Skip it. Get the molten armor and tools/weapons, and go straight to the Queen Bee, then to Skeletron. Get the Night's Edge, then go back to the Eater. Makes it 20x easier, very little worming occurs with this strategy.
