Yeah, night and day. TRRS is far better.
Ответитьcabled is always better! thanks for the video
ОтветитьI had no idea how much difference that would make. Have only tried Bluetooth. Totally changing my approach after this video. Thanks
ОтветитьI just got mine yesterday! I bought 4 podmics, boom arms and a 256 Gig memory card. I'm excited
ОтветитьBluetooth sounds more telephone than trrs I like the Bluetooth Because of that
ОтветитьCan I use the TRRS cable with my Samsung S20 5G Ultra because I did a Bluetooth call (guest remote interview) and the audio was poor. Do I need a VIOP or can I just use my cellphone. Thanks
ОтветитьFor iOS phones, Try running it with FaceTime AUDIO (not visual) for clear audio sound instead of using the “cellular network” for the audio. Try that too. 👍🏽
ОтветитьThanks for the videos. They've been very helpful for our podcast.
ОтветитьHey. I am a new subscriber. Do you have a video on how to use the Rodecaster Pro with a video camera and combine the two quickly or do it all at once without massive effort and edit!! Thanks for the great videos bro!
ОтветитьI get patching and rotation free at my auto shop because I bought the tires there. Also wired is better. I just got one of these bad boys this week.
ОтветитьIt's clear that the wired TRRS sounds better, will be doing that moving forward.
ОтветитьRode sent me a small kit that included a TRRS cable and it sounds so much better IMO. I agree with a couple of the comments below about using Facetime audio. I prefer that with the guest on my podcast if their iPhone if not I usually use zoom. Thankfully with the TRRS cable if I must do a regular phone call it doesn't sound all that bad at all.
ОтветитьHi Sean! TRRS wire in two ends? or TRRS - TRS? Thanks
ОтветитьHello Sean, once again me.
TRRS on both ends but:
End #1 with 3,5 mm and End #2 with 6,35 mm (1/4 in) ????
I'm trying to figure out why I was getting feedback I'm guessing it because the Bluetooth
ОтветитьI understand why the TRRS connection is preferable, as Bluetooth can be kind of wonky even at the best of times. While I appreciate the video and the information, I feel the test is incomplete. For calls, it is certainly fair not to expect the absolute best call quality when cold calling random tire shops on a regular phone line. Phone calls on the phone system just don't sound good even when it's a great sounding phone call! I think a more complete test would feature voice calls with FaceTime Audio, Skype or any of the myriad of other VoIP services available. Their audio quality is SOOOO much better than a normal phone call to begin with, so how much better is TRRS than Bluetooth in a case like this? Also, what about music or other produced content? is the TRRS superior here as well?
I'm working toward launching a podcast here soon and I already have an RCP and mics and such. I have thought about checking into all of this but haven't quite gotten there yet. There are also different settings for the TRRS and Bluetooth channels which I haven't really checked into...Have you determined how those might impact the sound?
II had always planned to use TRRS with FaceTime Audio as one of my co-hosts will be remote and I only trust Bluetooth just so far. It is nice to have it there as an option though.
So when you use the TRRS, can you record the audio into your phone? Like for when you record video with your phone with the TRRS cable will the audio be recorded into the phone?
Ответитьthe bluetooth sounded more like a phone call but was way more audible
ОтветитьCan I ask for a video request? I know the Rodecaster Pro is not specifically "built" for it...but, given that you are a musician, I'd love to see you run the 2 vocal mics and guitar DI and see how it might handle a singer songwriter style "in studio session" - I saw the new update has a bit of reverb as well, and I am curious if it would do a decent enough job rather than using a separate dedicated audio mixer.
ОтветитьHe forgot to turn the volume up on the iPhone when he did the trrs test.
ОтветитьDoes the caller hear you through the ‘board’ or is it coming in off of the microphone on the phone? In other words, do you have to have the phone near your mouth or does your mic channel come in clear for them?
ОтветитьWhat a great video Sean :)
Thank you so much.
But I have a question. Not telephone related; you have already answered all my questions on that scale :)
While monitoring with your headphones in any headphone plug at the back of the Rødecaster Pro, can you hear a playback from your PC/Mac/phone/Bluetooth or what ever device is connected to Rødecaster Pro via the 3.5 mm jack plug?
Or to simplify the question, can you hear all inputs and all outputs simultaneously in you headphones that are connected to what ever headphone jack at the back of the Rødecaster Pro?
I wonder how it would sound connected to an audio extractor 3.5 getting a console game sound off of a HDTV, would the quality be better then those phone calls?
ОтветитьGREAT video!
Do you think i can use the same iPod set up to play music or should i use an iPad through the usb c port?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English; i'm still learning
Subscribed and notified my friend! Good to see ya bub..
ОтветитьIt's a desk, not a board.
ОтветитьThese are super helpful! I just got my rodecaster pro & conducting remotes interviews with high quality audio that doesn’t sound like a radio phone interview. Question, what do you use for high def audio video calls?
ОтветитьMy end...Bluetooth sounds far better
ОтветитьThe way you fake writing is funny :)
ОтветитьGreat test!
