I have to say. This is the first time hearing someone's opinion is making me irritated. This just sounds like someone complaining about a show changing and growing with us as we grew up. I love the earlier seasons but oh my god just because the latter seasons are different doesn't mean they are bad. There was no fall of adventure time from what I've seen and heard.

May be just me but I don’t like the marceline and PB relationship. There was absolutely NO hints about them being together like that and I believe the show described them as good friends and nothing more. I just feel like it came out of nowhere with no solid base and was thrown in there just because why not.

I think calling most of season 6 pretentious is just flat out wrong lmao but thats just my opinion.

Production Season 7 (Bonnie and Neddy - Preboot/Reboot) is the absolute peak of Adventure Time imo

I feel you forgot it was a cartoon show at certain points when watching this. It doesn't necessarily need to be the same or have anything to do with the story at all, Season 6 is great at bringing in those random stories, you may have not liked that because its not story to you at that point but its still a cartoon show that others watch for not just the story.

too many gay themes and lesbian protagonists, it killed the show for me.

I felt like the later seasons became a bit to pretentious too, when the original concept of the show was, you know, going on adventures, not exploring the nature of life and reality.

I’ll have to politely disagree. Just finished my binge, and I don’t think it got better or worse. It’s was just always good. Also jakes lazy traits have always been a thing. Like the witches garden episode.

honestly i hope people agree with this, this show... never really fell off. heck it got a spin off,(Finnona And Cake) AND the distant lands specials.The Show stayed good through its entire 10 seasons and spin off.overall, Adventureeeeeeee Time! comon grab ur friends, go to very, DISTANT LANDS, JAKE THE DOG AND FINN THE HUMAN, the fun never ends...10/10(borderin on a 11)

I gotta say, I think the story moved, changed and grew up with its audience. If it hadn't have changed when it did, it wouldn't be legendary. Sorry. I think you are way off from what most people think. Idk, especially if you don't get the flame princess episode or Cats in the cradle...I don't think you get the show at all tbh. Like, how do you think...that's when it declined...?

As someone who is super into storytelling, I honestly like these seasons far more than the randomness that was the previous 5 seasons

I was spoiled to many things in this show, Ice King being Simon, Finn losing his Arm, PB and Marcys past relationship, that Finn actually aged and didnt stay 12, Time Adventure, etc.
So, I watched it going into it knowing its a grab bag. While I didnt hate the first 2 seasons, they felt really silly to me, like I woukd be embarrassed to ad it I liked a show with such 12 year old boy humour. I constantly waited till it grew up and became more serious, and loved each moment where it did (Orb is underrated btw) In particular I loved episodes like The Vault that deal directly with Finn's trauma.
I kept waiting for AT to become what I thought it'd be. It never fully comitted to that. Itd dip its toe in and then back off for a few episodes, sometimes many, and sometimes dropped plot points altogether. The last season felt rushed and I hated how still scattered the episodes were when I feel like it should've focused on setting up its finale more. But ultimately I still love it, especially the bold decisions it made and for growing up as time went on.
But this review stinks of haterism and I won't stand for it

I know this video is 5 years old but I’m really not a fan of how some people dislike the more philosophical episodes of the show or the fact that Finn is a flawed character that grew and matured along with the audience those episodes were always my favorite and I think the show only increased in quality as it went on.

If the writers weren't woke leftards.. the show would probably STILL be cranking out amazing content on a regular schedule.

Thank you for making this. I just finished season 6 (I watch things way later than they air because I can never keep up) and it left me a little unsatisfied. I found that there were only a few great episodes, most were not worth watching.

There are many times where Adventure Time is just TOO absurd or outlandish to enjoy, and it seemed like most of this season and late season 5 were like that. Only several episodes were actually important to the plot, and the rest made me want to skip. This was the start of too many confusing storylines that were unnecessarily complex at this point. I admit that I am relieved to be done with that.

Currently on a binge of adventure time and have just started season 6 (just watched the food chain episode) which made me seek out ranking videos as I feel season 5 started to have a few “weak” episodes (weak by adventure time standards).

Adventure Time is one of those rare shows that has a long run and doesn't drop in quality. All seasons are awesome and it keeps getting better and better even with it's limited series Distant Lands and the spin off for Fionna and Cake

This guy sounds like one of the B-characters from the show. And he is dead wrong - AT was epic from start to finish.
