Here is an id promo montage from WDBD Fox 40, which serves Jackson, MS and Central Mississippi. All copyrights of Jackson Family Television, Media Central, Donatelli & Klein, Pegasus, Jackson Television, Roundtable Broadcasting, American Spirit Media, Raycom, and Gray acknowledged. WDBD signed on as an independent station in 1984 and joined Fox in 1987. In 2001, Pegasus had a payment dispute with Fox, causing WDBD to change its affiliation to the WB, causing Fox not to be seen over the air in the Jackson market aside from WNTZ in Natchez and Foxnet on cable. In 2006, when the WB and UPN went off the air, WDBD rejoined Fox, causing the CW to go to recently-signed on station WRBJ and MyNetworkTV to WUFX (now WLOO). Today, WDBD airs some newscasts produced by NBC affiliate WLBT. In late 2020, WDBD made a slight modification to its logo by adding a mask to the 0 in "Fox 40," which was used until mid 2022. In September 2023, WDBD's newscasts were included with WLBT's GrayOne upgrade; however, WDBD still uses "This is the Place" by Stephen Arnold for its news theme, despite rivals WJTV/WHLT poaching this theme in 2021 and WLBT switching from "360" to "Aerial."
Subchannels include: Antenna TV, Grit TV, True Crime Network (Justice Network), and Defy TV. Special thanks to @ClassicTV&Beyond for some video clips from the late 1990s/early 2000s.
