I too never understood the appeal of Florida but I personally find Texas to be worst, it is such an unappealing place!!!!

Out of the states on your list, Arizona would be the top place for me to move to if I had to move out of Michigan. However, Florida and Texas would be last; Texas has almost no scenery, unless you're going through some city with a decent population. Florida has too many hurricanes; only good scenery is on the ocean, otherwise, it's just flat. Winter weather is another one of few positives.

There are no crocodiles in Florida and the Everglades provide a ton of recreational activities.
