If the slim is $1,299, but has less memory (8 VS 12), than the iPhone pro ($999), then I'll pass. Plus the cameras probably won't be as good. Probably less battery. Sounds great, but the disadvantages may be too much. I hope not.

Nah I’ll just buy the iPhone 16 (or the SE4) then wait to upgrade to iPhone 20. I have a trend where I get the latest iPhone then wait 4 years to get a new one

Apple is obsessed with making devices slim, which is a feature that no one wants. I understand that i7 MacBook's sometimes failed due to overheating because the cooling in a slim MacBook was not good enough to cool an i7. I hope that the unnecessarily shrunk M4 Mac Minis will not overheat. I would far rather buy an iPhone 17 fat than an iPhone 17 slim because a longer battery life is the only feature that I want in any iPhone.
