God I want her.

Probably my favorite scene from the show and you could argue its not even meant to be that funny on a laugh out loud all-time great comedy. Kent and Amy's reactions here are priceless. The inflections in their voices while speaking some of their words here really drive home the absurdity of Jonah as VP. And of course JLD kills it with the venom she gives back to them.

Julia deserves every award she got for this

this was the GOP establishment's reaction when they gave Trump nomination to the presidency in '16. Then the lot of them got declawed, defanged, neutered, and submerged in 2 miles of human shit, ever since. Lindsay Graham, Moscow Mitch, Paul Ryan, et al.

Such a brilliant move at the end to make her go SO far that even these two abandoned her. They can be just as terrible as everyone else on the show but somewhere hidden away they still had some kind of standards. Not to mention the fact that Jonah now seems like one of the newest batch of politicians out there. Like the show predicted it.

And yet, we somehow wound up with worse when DJT took the presidency. Truth is truly stranger than fiction.

"You can't let an embittered, vindictive, narcissistic man-child be one heartbeat away from the presidency, let alone the president." Well, we learned all about what that would look like, in the US dark ages (2017-2021).

I like how in the finale nearly all the characters had these moment of realization that their action throughout the season has lead them down the darkest route possible like here Amy has been helping Jonah campaign to be president yet in this moment where he could VEEP she suddenly realize the mistake she has made.

Watching this on its premiere date and hearing Kent say "FUCK THE NUMBERS!" was more flat out shocking than most of this episode.

to see her at her lowest, crying to ben, ready to give up. and he’s basically like “girl u are a terrible person so u might as well just run with that” and she really was like “yeah, okay” picks her self up out of the mud and then destroys everything and everyone in the process. power bitch moves.

And then comes this absolute ruthless power move..
And people wonder how some polticans get to where they were

Kent Davison early on said he won't be Selina's yes man.

This is one of the best scenes in one of the greatest finales ever. Of course this show was going to end with Selina burning every single bridge she's made to claim a false victory. It's so painful watching her spit on every "friend" she's had in this last episode but it is exactly what her character was programmed to do. She has had one goal since episode one and this is the result of her with her back against the wall. The shot of her finally making it to Oval Office, but with nobody around her is so haunting and cathartic

The finale episode made me really sad ... Everything about it was dark and depressing and it's strange considering this was a Comedy show.

Amy finally realising she has been the architect of her own demise.

This show sacrificed a good ending for Amy for the perfect ending for Selina. Amy was the only character I feel like they didn’t really have a super clear grasp on towards the end. Her arc wasn’t as meaningful as it could’ve been considering how central she was to the show and to Selina at the start. I still consider this the perfect series finale, one of the best out there.

I know Selina and Amy weren't close at the end, but when Selina starts trashing the Veep position, you really feel the history between them.

One of the best scenes ever. while it May just seem like a well acted scene, it is the product of a woman held down, face first in the mud, finally getting up and holding the rest of worlds head in the mud

What does this mean about our new VP, was it just pawn for Biden’s presidency?

I love how this scene is basically Amy coming to the realization that her quest for vindication has basically lead to VP Ryan. Like she was in a stupor of her own success this entire time.

The way Selina talk about what is like to be a veep I Know at this point she is a fucking monster but damn I felt bad for her

The sheer venom in JLD's voice when she's talking about being VP is breathtaking

So, I'm a little confused. Amy was running Jonah's campaign for the Presidency, and actually seemed to be excited when it briefly looked like Jonah might actually win the nomination, after the muslim math teacher was arrested. 

So like, she was totally on board with the concept of Jonah being President, but then when Selina offers to make him VP Amy is suddenly terrified by the prospect? Doesn't really seem to make sense. Was she just expecting that Jonah would lose the general election anyway, even if he got the nomination, making the threat of him in the White House far more real if he's Selina's VP?
