This comparison is not valid because bangladesh has a sample size of 17 cr whereas india has a sample size of over 1.4 bn people... take maharashtra for eg. Its comparable to BD and its much more prosper than BD at the same time Bihar is equivalent in terms of population and geography but BD is much more prosper than bihar... indias 15-17 states are ahead in terms of GDP per capita of bangladesh... we are doing good, our manufacturing is speeding up and our gdp is diversified.. whereas BD gdp is mainly concentrated in textiles and ship repairing!!

Doesnt make any sense to compare a population of 1.4 billion with .2 billion.
Dhaka does not come in top 3 gdp cities in south asia. Economy is skewed towards few sectors, hence more risky.
