Perfect throw. Not even close to being safe. Go sit on the curb.
ОтветитьOne of the great baseball players of all time - period! If he played every season in the U.S. he would so many more records. And Rose's record would have been in jeopardy for sure.
ОтветитьThe sports casters claiming "No way he should have ever went for third". Legitimately one of the best throws to third base.... 99/100 times he would have been safe.
Ответить"The ball was hit right to me. Why did he run when I was going to throw him out?"
legendary
Crazy that his arm was ALMOST as strong as Buhners was, 50 pounds lighter 🫠
ОтветитьThey couldn’t run on the boy !!!! Ichiro ❤
ОтветитьBest ive seen
ОтветитьI play right field,
It's important, ya know,
You gotta learn how to catch,
You gotta learn how to throw,
That's why I play in fight field,
way out where the dandelions go!
This might be the best throwing play ever. Ichiro didn't have tons of assists in his mlb career because his arm was respected so much, and so runners didn't want to run when he caught the ball. Terrence Long was one of the first to learn that. Ichiro might have been the greatest defensive outfielder of all time and the greatest contact hitter of all time.
ОтветитьI remember watching this live and just bursting out laughing, I couldn’t believe it
ОтветитьThat is pixel perfect, tool assisted level of accuracy.

ОтветитьLegend🇯🇵❤️
ОтветитьGo Mariners
ОтветитьThe color commentor sounds just like Micheal Strahan. 😄
ОтветитьThat was a freakin video game throw. The ball isn’t supposed to carry like that for 200+ feet! Would’ve loved to see this guy play MLB in his early 20s.
ОтветитьMoral of the story , always settle for a single when hit towards Ichiro
ОтветитьNintendo owns 10% of the Mariners, no coincidence that Ichiro ended up there.
Some even claim they helped recruit him.
It’s the way he moves that makes Ichiro special. Weather it’s hitting running or catching, he have that grace which makes it look easy and normal
ОтветитьAmazing throw by Ichiro but if David Bell doesn't make that perfectly executed tag on Terrence Long, we wouldn't remember it.
ОтветитьI love the cutaway and you can see the seed coming in. Ichiro was him.
ОтветитьThe discipline in the Japanese culture is one of the reasons they’ve been so good at baseball
ОтветитьTHE THROW
ОтветитьI miss ItchyRow
ОтветитьSuch a soft muscle.
ОтветитьI can't believe this unbelievable throw was 22 years ago. It seems like yesterday I was in middle school racing home to watch the Mariners on Fox Sports Northwest...
ОтветитьI don’t want to see anymore comments praising the little japanese boy’s arm. We all know he doesn’t compare to Barfield or Bo Jackson’s cannon. Plus, he was in shallow right field so it was a great throw but not super impressive given the distance. Stick to sushi chop sticks. I said is that clear?
ОтветитьIt’s E-chi-row.
It’s E-chi-low.
Lose the ‘r’ sound.
Probably would have broke Pete Rose's all time hit record if he didn't play 9 seasons in Japan before he came to MLB when he was 27
ОтветитьRespect that shoulder man
Ответить"What a tag by Bell!" -- Joe Garbagiola
ОтветитьHad he been in Colorado and made that throw, it'd have been in the upper deck near the left field foul line!
ОтветитьSuzuki had an arm, that's for sure!
Ответитьit literally doesn’t get better than this…! Japan has brought some absolute beauty to baseball. what a memory
ОтветитьTERRIBLE camera work... the last shot was the best. We don't need a bunch of different cuts and angles, just show one wide shot of the whole field
ОтветитьLoved Ichiro and nice accurate throw but look where he threw it from... 20 - 30 feet from the infield grass. Good throw... just not as great or legendary as its made out to be. Just does not stack up against equally accurate lasers thrown from the warning track. Bo Jackson, Roberto Clemente, Guillen, etc
ОтветитьBest throw ever thrown.
ОтветитьThis is when Corbin Carroll decided to play baseball. Ichiro ran so Corbin could fly.
ОтветитьNo one like Ichiro, before or since.
ОтветитьFound the same from the Mad mashup. Great, I love this!
ОтветитьNOT EVEN THE MLB THEMSELVES USE THE SUPERIOR CALL BY DAVE NIEHAUS...
PLEASE MOVE THE MARINERS TO OKLAHOMA CITY
SHOW THE THROW
ОтветитьSteee- rike!
ОтветитьIf he grow up in US, maybe he will be the first Asian QB in the NFL.
ОтветитьHe belongs in the conversation when you talk about the greatest baseball player of all time
Ответить“The throw by Ichiro? Beautiful! Peggy? Get ‘em!”
ОтветитьIchiro and Bo made these throws easy. 😅
ОтветитьI remember my mom telling me to look up to this guy because he was such a great all-around player. I didn’t play baseball. I played soccer and downhill alpine skiing. But this man’s abilities just permeate every sport. He’s an idol for all, and god damn is that throw impressive.
