If adhd was a ted talk
Ответитьsounds like Ween or Weezer
Ответить5 years later and I have yet to write a song 😂
ОтветитьGave me the chills!
ОтветитьThis really overcomplicates the process. The Beatles first album will teach you everything you need.
ОтветитьBrilliant lecture. 🤩
As someone teaching in the creative field, I admire the way he gets the audience invested and the way he shows that it is not so difficult to create something yourself. Everyone is creative.
Most other videos focus on the technical and theoretical stuff, such as scales and chords and what not. While all that is useful it is also intimidating and will put people off wanting to learn quickly.
If you want to learn to draw something you also don't learn perspective first, you pick up a pen and start to draw.
This was great info! Thanks!
ОтветитьThis guy is seriously awesome.
ОтветитьWell, this confirmed what I already knew. It is really easy to write a bad song.
ОтветитьThis guy screams too much!
ОтветитьYu kno lary here be skiing slopes daily
ОтветитьUseless, just like 90% of ted talks
ОтветитьMy problem isn't writing songs my problem is writing good songs
Ответить🙏🏼
ОтветитьThis is good, imean GOOD okay
ОтветитьAwesome video!!
ОтветитьThis guy has a really cool voice! It reminds me of the singers I saw growing up in Dallas' underground scene as a kid
ОтветитьBest Ted talk EVER!!
ОтветитьOk. So make a choice. Got it. My song still sucks.
ОтветитьChoices
ОтветитьI see what he was trying to say here. I was classically trained in opera & piano so I find it hard to break the rules & just flow. Yet I see my peers with no musical training consistently creating. It’s not that complicated.
Ответить"Hot dogs are awesome" could be an REM song
Ответить👍
Ответитьgood job!
ОтветитьHe’s right about everything. I knew everything exactly as he said it. I arrived at the same conclusion about everything he said here way before. But I thought that these were my personal songwriting secrets. Now that I hear it from someone else, I feel on the right track.
ОтветитьI have been doing that with my emotional center & art for many many years.
ОтветитьThis guy’s energy
ОтветитьLoved it ❤️
ОтветитьSorry but this is an insult to the craft. It’s not just random words and notes.
Ответитьwhat peter parker s doin on the stage?
ОтветитьI mean... This is honestly so silly that you KNOW people would legit meme it to a couple million views for a week these days if it was recorded and released legitimately lmao XD
ОтветитьThis guy teaches! 😂
ОтветитьThank you, Ralph... I know I'm paraphrasing but... "We are all musicians. We cannot help being musicians" is such a divinely profound statement.
We all live within the rhythm of life and express ourselves as storytellers and social beings every day. It's a purity of consciousness we carry within us and so often lose sight of. Love this fun, interactive and enlightening presentation.
If you are listening to this to help your songwriting… you probably should not be writing songs
ОтветитьCoolest Ted talk ever
ОтветитьTake away; it’s easy to write a song , if you follow the 4 steps!! Good job,
ОтветитьI want to hate this so badly but his personality is a force of nature 😆 all the points he make are great.
Ответитьuseless
ОтветитьThis guy seems like a trip to be around (in the best possible way)
ОтветитьYou listen to 2 songs a day for 50 years if songs are on average 4 minutes that would be 2435 hours .... Nowhere near 100.000 hours. You'd have to live over 2000 years to reach 100.000 hours with only 2 songs a day...
ОтветитьProof that anyone could get a TED Talk at any point. THis guy belongs in the music industry. The target audience is 4th graders.
ОтветитьThe bad examples☠️☠️
ОтветитьVery skeptical at first, but I returned to this video to say that “who’s your daddy who’s your daddy I really miss the Dewey decimal system” has been stuck in my head all day.
ОтветитьMy god imagine if all teachers were like that...
ОтветитьLoved this so much. Thank you. 🧡🐳
ОтветитьAwesome!
ОтветитьHypnosis.
ОтветитьThis demonstration is 80% about staying motivated by just having fun doing what you do - 20% about songwriting.... while it's true that it's not good to overcomplicate things, I'm still a little annoyed by speeches that miss the point of the talk.
ОтветитьUmmmmmm... sir your energy was great! The song was not felt through. I think I got the point though.
