Orangutans are crazily smart and very curious. Like Dawn the Orangutan who, after seeing her zoo workers washing themselves off, started to washed her own hands and then eventually would wring out cloths she was given to wipe her own body down. Orangutans getting out or attempting to has also happened more times than people would think.

Fu Manchu, another Orangutan figured out how to escape his enclosure at a zoo by picking the lock on a door. He did it repeatedly for weeks and zoo staff was stumped about how and tried every measure to prevent it only to finally catch Fu Manchu in the act using a piece of wire he kept hidden.

All mammals and even most reptiles can have fun and know of the concept, crocodiles give eachother piggyback rides and will slide down slick rocks, apes play with toys or with eachother, wolves actually came up with fetch themsvleves from their relationship with corvids not from us, there was even a study where we found out bees like to have fun.
