I have a noob question. This thing can wade thru mud right, how come the exhaust pipe is designed facing downward facing the ground?

I was hoping it would be longer and atleast facing upward on the side or back, designed discreetly

I knew that subies are capable, but it's good to see proper off-road with great video quality and great driver.

Being a 4runner owner, came to Washington state for work and got a Subaru forester sport as a rental. I’m well impressed with the capabilities of this vehicles. Thinking about going back home and trade in my Lexus 🙈

Outbacks, even the regular trim levels, are INCREDIBLY capable, for what they are.

What 4X mode were you in?

Al that mud is fun till you take it to the dealer for service and they see it all underneath the undercarriage and use it as an excuse to not fix your radio or something else completely unrelated lol.

Just got mine yesterday. Not real big into modding cars but waiting on my rally armor mud flaps. It also goes in for full ceramic tint on Thursday. Thanks for the vid. Eventually I’ll take it up to an old coal mine area and mess around

These are pretty good man the Subaru wilderness looks like it's right there above the compass Trailhawk and maybe right there with the broncosport. If you lift it maybe you'll get the same angles are better as a broncosport I think.
I don't think it's above the Cherokee Trailhawk though.

Just got ours this week. Love it! More than Id ever take ours through, but good to know that it’s capable. Very impressive!

When you say rear sway bar delete did you just disconnect the sway bar end links ?

We just purchased a 22 Outback Wilderness, same color! We are going to Big Bend National Park in a couple of weeks! We are taking the Subie stock, but will be modding it after I sell my Mustang GT next spring. We are going to Big Bend Octane Fest, bringing our GT500 and the Subie to go play on the trails. I am pretty excited, we always had jeeps, but the Subie is much more comfortable and I am getting to old to rock climb! We live in South Louisiana, so I am very curious to see where there is to go in Texas, it is next door to us! Great video!

Great videos. I have an Outback Wilderness in Tx too. I’m having issues with where to locate my 6 pin receiver for my trailer brakes. I don’t want to ruin ground clearance. Otoh, if it’s too close to the hitch receiver, I cannot lock it. Can you show me some pictures of your hitch receiver setup?

Hey there, just curious after having the outback lifted 2.8 inches for this long have you noticed any issues with the cvs or anything? I’m wanting to lift my forester wilderness closer to 3 inches just not sure what it can handle !

Yes, we go off-road, your video does no justice, also, you know the clearance of the vehicle when purchasing. Why would you create this BS that you know will be a huge challenge and out of spec for clearance??? Finally, be more realistic please!!!

So…I’ve read terrible things about the cvt trans. Seems like you can’t really push the limits of your vehicle with it. Kinda defeats the purpose of being labeled as a vehicle that is meant for off roads.

Well done. Other reviewers have the drivers view from inside of the vehicle which tells you nothing on what's going on outside. Or they have a distance view from a drone which doesn't tell you what's going on either.

Nice that you show good shots of the terrain, what the wheels are doing and a description of the situation.

If you want to take a track like that you need to have a more hardcore off road vehicle and be willing to take damage and do repairs.
That little water hole with the deep tire tracks is for more hardcore vehicles that are lifted.

Excellent work on the trails. On the skid plate you are correct, it is made out of plastic.
By the way here is some good information for you that I have verified with the General Manger and the Service Manager Carson City Nv. I asked the General Manger about the 10 Year WARRANTY on the transmission, his reply was , what??.
He called the Service Manager on speaker phone so I could listen, he asked him if the Transmission has a 10 year Warranty on it ?
The Service Manager checked on his computer and replied Yes it does have a 10 Year Warranty.
Hope you don't get stuck AAA would have fun pulling you out.

Sweet video just put a deposit on one, I know people are running 245/65r17’s on stock. Not sure what your tire setup is but if you are running the same how much extra room do you have with the 2” lift? Curious to see if 245/70r17’s will fit so I can run km3’s

I have this exact car, love it!!!! Crazy how much mud you can sling and the weird looking composites somehow keep the dirt off the paint. Kudos for the design team.

When I got my 2020 outback XT I put Yokohama Geolanders on it first thing. 2 years later and it's stock. The outback has a big nose and back end. Offroad can be a challenge. Love to see some one putting it through its paces most people take the easy road because it's a new car or a loaner from the dealership.

This car have less memory than a jellyfish,
If you set up the Auto Start Stop off then you have to do it EVERY FREAKING TIME! that you turn on your vehicle same thing with the AVH.

Tom Tom navigation package is so dated that my Microsoft navigation of 2004 on my laptop had more features than this useless Navigation-system

The wave feature on the back to open the Trunk is so smart that it works when she wants .

CarPlay still not wireless! so why they offer wireless charger?

And stay away of the Wilderness trim . The skid plate from Subaru is like aluminum foil.
But if you put the after market you void your warranty.

They try to make lighter by sacrificing the bodywork, it is so thin that you don’t want layback in any door or you may will dent it.

Look under the driver seat and you see how they do this car, you can see layers of insulation exposed.

And many others things that for 42k that I paid should it made so much better; my drone or my phone have more advanced technology than this car.

The sad part is that Toyota Honda and now Subaru turned down their quality that is not worth it to spend so much money on their cars.

The wilderness 2022 comes already factory with a 1" lift. Did you add an additional 2" or just 1" to say its lifted to a total of 2" overall? Also what size wheel and tire you have? What brand?

I love my 13 outback 2.5 loaded but this looks so kool I just don't the exterior changes.
