why does the V.90 56k have two bell sounds before it continues the training?
ОтветитьSubtitles on for best experience.
Ответить33600 for me. I live far away from the city, so V.92 connections were rare.
Ответитьthe best are thr subtitles
ОтветитьGreat video, but the subtitles killed me. 😂
ОтветитьMy dad was using an acoustic coupler with a rotary phone, I guess in the late 70s/early 80s. I have his acoustic couplers and a modem now, but they are in storage at the moment.
ОтветитьI love the subtitles
Ответитьthe subtitles are wild
ОтветитьWhen i was a child i've had a 1200 bps one, but dad said that it's too slow so we bought 14,400 bps modem
ОтветитьThe subtitle, i can't 💀
ОтветитьI love these sounds. Music to my ears!
ОтветитьOh, the BBS days. It was a magical time for computing.
Ответитьyes items showing
ОтветитьIt is so funny watching that video with subtitle 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI dont care what anybody says, these will always be pretty neat.
ОтветитьIn terms of early 80s I used to have to take home a Texas Instruments thermal printer style terminal with an acoustic coupler for the phone to start at h jobs over night, I could whistle the latch signal to get a connect for fun. It was 600 baud from memory
ОтветитьThe subtitles are hilarious!!! Thanks
ОтветитьBEEEEEEEE BEEEEEEEE PPPPPPPPPPP AAARRRRRGGGGGGGGG
ОтветитьCan you give a source for download of these ancient mega nostalgic handshake sounds?
ОтветитьI came online around 9.6k.
ОтветитьThank you so much for subtitling this. It really helps to pick out the sounds! (And also is funny!)
ОтветитьTurn on subtitles for complete immersion!
ОтветитьThe subtitles are hilarious
ОтветитьWow, the 1200bps takes me back to the early 90s when I used my Commodore64 to go on BBS then I got a 14.4 on my first PC.
ОтветитьHey babe, do you mind if I listen to some white noise to fall asleep to?
ОтветитьBRO THE SUBTITLES🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьNo way you captioned this, that's priceless
ОтветитьUsed all of this Connection speeds only 56k i dismissed ....😂
ОтветитьYou missed V.FC which is largely unknown. It was a competitor to V.34 before it was finalized, but USR Sportster 28.8 modems supported it if you sent them an AT code to disable V.34. There was a BBS with a 28.8 modem that would create a terrible connection with V.34 but would be fine with V.FC. I wish I could hear the sound again. 😂
Ответить🐥💙🐥
Ответитьi love how there are subtitles for this
ОтветитьIt’s cool to see the speed differences of the text art. I mean even the slowest WiFi today can do that faster than the human brain can comprehend but 56k was pretty quick compared to the older ones.
Ответитьsubtitles; aaaaaahhhh beep beep ghreeeeegh lol
ОтветитьThese subtitles are awesome FR
Ответитьwho typed the subtitles for this video?🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьОлдам привет🖖
ОтветитьTip: activate subtitles for this video
Ответитьwhen entire continent was 100mbit
ОтветитьWhat i find cool is that if you pay attention to the laptop you can ser how much each version improved the internet connection.
ОтветитьMy first modem was an AT&T 14.4 internal, then I got an internal 28.8 and then a 56K external, later I went to DSL and finally cable.
Ответить14.4 HST?
ОтветитьWhat equipment are you using to connect the two modems together ? Im looking into setting up a modem network so i came to your channel.
ОтветитьI love the captions of the sounds.
Ответитьgreat video! thanks for the subtitles
Ответитьlollll the subtitles are hilarious
ОтветитьI like the captions
ОтветитьI have the 56k modem sound as my ringtone
